Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Senior Marketing Specialist, Food on a temporary basis (up to 1 year) at our Home Office in Saskatoon, SK. What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do: You will plan, develop, implement, manage, and coordinate consumer centric marketing efforts for Co-op\xe2\x80\x99s Food & Liquor business lines. You will develop, strategically plan and execute a strategic media mix including traditional and digital media to support centralized marketing campaigns and programs on behalf of the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) targeted towards the Food and Liquor consumer

  • You will develop, coordinate, and manage the annual plan for weekly and seasonal in-store experience strategy and digital strategy on behalf of the CRS.
  • You will work closely with strategic business units and local co-ops to ensure the central marketing is meeting their needs, driving business results and is able to be efficiently and effectively executed at the local level.
  • You will lead the development, coordination and implementation of various marketing campaigns, programs and projects that are designed to support the business and local co-op strategic initiatives and priorities. While ensuring there is customer engagement and a strong customer connection. Campaigns and programs that you will lead include but are not limited to Table Magazine & Events, Proudly Western Canadian and Store Brands Marketing strategies.
  • You will provide leadership and guidance to zones and local co-ops in the execution of central marketing campaigns and program through effective communication, stakeholder engagement and feedback.
  • You will effectively communicate and continually review marketing strategies, tools and information for our local co-ops and developing new processes as required.

Who the team is: The Senior Marketing Specialist, Food is a key part of the Consumer Marketing Team! The Consumer Marketing Team supports over 160 local co-ops across Western Canada by developing consumer-centric omni-channel marketing strategies and plans for our consumer business lines including Food & Pharmacy, Gas Bar/Convenience Stores, Home Centres and Liquor Stores. For this role, we are looking for a team member who is driven, takes a results-based marketing approach, collaborative and thrives on all things marketing! Who you are: You are looking for a career in Sales & Marketing and:
  • You have a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Commerce (preference for Marketing or Management)
  • You have a minimum of 6-9 years of relevant progressively responsible marketing experience.
  • Experience in retail management/operations is an asset. (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered)

  • You believe in collaboration, building relationships and value the perspectives of others.
