Description
Auxly is seeking a
Senior Marketing Manager
on a full-time basis. This role is a key driver of consumer and customer engagement, responsible for shaping how our products are experienced in market - from the training of internal teams and external partners, to the digital channels and real-world interactions that influence purchase decisions. The successful candidate will bring a mix of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with a strong understanding of cannabis culture, customer education, and digital storytelling.
This position will lead initiatives across four main areas:
Product Knowledge
- Lead internal and external training programs to deepen understanding of our portfolio.
Budtender Activations
- Oversee sampling, education, and advocacy programs to build relationships with frontline retail staff.
Digital Strategy
- Refresh and maintain our digital presence, including website, social, and CRM touchpoints.
Product Experience
- Connect marketing with consumer-facing teams to ensure seamless and consistent product experiences across all touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
Product Knowledge & Education
Develop and deliver product training for internal teams (sales, marketing, customer care) and external partners (budtenders, retailers).
Create and maintain product education materials including decks, cheat sheets, FAQs, and videos.
Collaborate with Innovation and Sales to ensure training is aligned with go-to-market plans and brand strategies.
Budtender Engagement & Sampling Programs
Build and lead national budtender engagement programs, including in-store visits, sampling initiatives, events, and virtual education sessions.
Develop toolkits and resources that empower budtenders to become advocates for our brands.
Track engagement metrics and gather feedback to optimize future programs.
Digital Strategy & Brand Presence
Own the strategy and execution of digital brand assets including websites, social channels, and content calendars.
Work with internal teams and external partners to create and publish consumer-facing content that aligns with brand identity and product positioning.
Lead ongoing audits and refresh cycles of digital assets to ensure accuracy, compliance, and engagement.
Cross-Functional Product Experience Leadership
Act as a bridge between marketing, sales, customer service, and innovation teams to ensure a seamless product experience from discovery to consumption.
Identify and improve consumer touchpoints across physical and digital environments.
Partner with customer service teams to close feedback loops and ensure brand voice consistency in consumer-facing interactions.
Skills and Qualifications:
Post-secondary education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
Relevant experience: 5+ years of experience in brand marketing, trade marketing, or consumer engagement, preferably in cannabis or CPG.
Strong communication skills: Comfortable presenting, training, and engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
Project leadership: Able to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage multiple programs at once.
Digital fluency: Experience managing web and social media content; understanding of CRM platforms and digital campaign metrics.
Collaborative mindset: Works well across departments and with external partners to drive shared outcomes.
Passion for cannabis: Brings enthusiasm and knowledge to the role, with a focus on quality, education, and responsible consumption.
Location
This position is based in Toronto, Canada, hybrid office / work-from-home arrangement.
* The successful candidate will be expected to work from our downtown Toronto office three days per week.
