The Energy, Natural Resources and Chemicals (ENRC) sector creates robust business networks and drives alignment, best practices and innovation, bringing market insight to developing solutions and propositions. Leadership in the industry consists of industry luminaries and thought leaders who leverage their personal brands to benefit the firm, drive new business and build client relationships aligned with sector strategic priorities, and shape conversations through industry-defining and differentiated thought leadership.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Marketing and Communications, Global Clients & Markets, and serving the Global Sector Head of Energy and Natural Resources and Chemicals (ENRC), this role will be a key member of the Global ENRC and Global Clients and Markets Marketing & Communications teams.
What you will do

  • Develop and execute the annual marketing plan for the Energy, Natural Resources, and Chemicals sector. If necessary, prepare a marketing strategy for a new initiative determined by leadership throughout the fiscal year.
  • Create, implement, and review the adoption and effectiveness of marketing programs to deliver on the objectives set in the strategic marketing plan.
  • Develop and deliver programs to raise the external profile of the global Energy, Natural Resources, and Chemicals sector, focusing on key global and local spokespeople and target markets.
  • Develop and implement an appropriate mix of activities that highlight KPMG\'s sector expertise. Typically this embraces social media, digital content, high-profile events, thought leadership and PR.
  • Develop and implement strategic sector thought leadership projects based on the critical issues in the sector. This is where KPMG needs and/or wants to have an opinion that will help shape the development of the market.
  • Work closely with member firms and global priority account teams to ensure they utilize global sector marketing campaigns and best practices.
  • Participate in global functional marketing campaign discussions to identify and develop sector-specific global market positioning and messaging, sales enablement, and marketing strategy.
  • Collaborate with the team responsible for the delivery of global marketing activities.
  • Manage contracts with internal shared services, external vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
  • Identify new KPIs and meet set targets.
  • Day-to-day management of the budget.
What you bring to the role
  • Minimum seven years of combined marketing and business experience; experience in professional services or similar corporate environment preferred; Energy, Natural Resources, or Chemicals experience is a plus
  • Experience developing compelling value propositions for services/campaigns and creating integrated issue-based platforms for promoting relationships and generating revenue.
  • Demonstrable success in developing and implementing complex (and preferably international) marketing programs \xe2\x80\x93 experience working in a professional services environment will be an advantage.
  • Experience in working with content management systems to deliver content marketing programs and create digital demand generation campaigns in the business-to-business field.
  • Experience developing multi-platform campaigns with a focus on social media and digital channels.
  • Diploma or under graduate degree preferably in marketing related qualifications. Post graduate qualifications in a marketing related discipline is desirable.
  • Empathy with and an understanding of the key issues facing the energy, natural resources, and chemicals sector.
