Global Technology Services (GTS) - Strategic Portfolio Office (SPO) is a leading team in the Technology division at Scotiabank. We are charged with overseeing the strategy execution of GTS, while managing the business and financials globally. We ensure a stable, secure & efficient infrastructure and service delivery four our internal customers as well as providing reliable support for our clientele across Canada, Latin America (LATAM), and other regions in the world.
The Strategic Portfolio Office is the beating operations heart of GTS. We’re a highly skilled, organized team that keeps the GTS team in line. The role:
The Senior Manager, Strategic Resourcing will be the People and Culture resource for a high visibility Bank project. You will be responsible for planning, forecasting, people capacity planning, onboarding, tracking and reporting on program resources, as well as defining and documenting related processes. You will also collaborate with GTS leaders to assess resource needs and will facilitate processes and oversee execution of hiring approvals, job postings, recruiting and onboarding, providing orientation and provide analytic insights in various reports & other ad-hoc requests. You will coordinate quarterly team building events in addition to coordinating various project milestone celebrations.

  • You are a critical thinker who’s able to juggle multiple competing priorities and understand that the occasional late night or weekend work may be required.
  • You consider yourself self-driven, highly energetic and a team player attitude is a part of your DNA.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
  • You can demonstrate strong communication (verbal/written/presentation) skills in English. You also have strong interpersonal skills, which puts you at ease to establish and develop relations with senior leadership, external partners and project stakeholders.
  • You are experienced in Project Resource Management.
  • You have at least 5+ years of hands-on working experience at a medium- to large-sized corporation.
  • You can demonstrate an advanced proficiency in the use of MS Excel (e.g., macros, pivot tables) and MS PowerPoint
  • An asset to have working knowledge of Power BI & project management skills.
  • You have completed a post-secondary education in related fields of study or equivalent combination of education and experience.
