What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Be Doing

Reporting to the Director, Fusion Threat Intelligence, the Senior Manager, Strategic Intelligence is responsible for strategic level intelligence collection, analysis, and production which discerns trends beyond the tactical and makes linkages to the external threat environment, strengthening assessments and providing recommendations which directly support intelligence end-users primarily across the Corporate Security, Information Security, and Fraud Management domains. The Senior Manager leverages broad knowledge and experience of specialized intelligence methodologies to advance and enrich the intelligence program, manage a portion of the team, and deliver viable collection solutions to complex threat scenarios related to fraud, cyber, and security issues.

How You\xe2\x80\x99ll Succeed

  • Intelligence Cycle Expertise \xe2\x80\x93 Provide specialized advice, consultation, and strategic analysis on intelligence issues and trends relating to fraud, corporate security, cybersecurity and Fusion; including issues, incidents, investigations, and Fusion use cases. Complete operational and strategic level analysis that captures high-level analytical insights and produce concise products meeting intelligence-consumer needs; ensuring a high standard of intelligence service delivery. Provide expert advice/consultation to senior management on designing, implementing, optimizing and maintaining the intelligence cycle to inform and aid the protection of people, information, and assets.
  • Relationship Building \xe2\x80\x93 Develop and manage relationships with management and business leaders, including guiding collaboration with security pillars; providing knowledge of intelligence best practices and advanced collection and analysis techniques.
  • Support to Key Stakeholders \xe2\x80\x93 Support complex investigations as an intelligence practitioner and subject matter expert in banking procedures, products, and controls. Identify potential issues that pose risk to CIBC; take action and contribute to problem and event management to resolve as quickly and efficiently as possible. Undertake special projects with internal and external stakeholders, as assigned / required.
  • Strategic Thinking Approach \xe2\x80\x93 Provide support to Fusion Centre management, team members and peers as required to support delivery of Fusion programs. Create, maintain, update and share Fusion Intelligence dashboard and products, as directed.
  • Leadership and Team Player \xe2\x80\x93 Manage the Strategic intelligence team within Fusion Threat Intelligence, with an emphasis on growing and developing highly skilled intelligence analysts. Contribute to a healthy work environment.
Who You Are
  • You can demonstrate experience in information security/cybersecurity, fraud or physical security (typically 5-8 years) and four year university degree or college diploma. Ability to anticipate, plan, monitor and adjust as needed while inspiring, motivating and managing employees through constructive and respectful feedback which encourages and enables performance excellence. Exceptional ability to communicate in a clear, concise & logical manner, verbally and in writing; sufficient to convey complex information/ideas on issues involving interpretation and opinion, capable of ensuring senior leaders are kept aware of issues and provided informed and timely advice.
  • You can demonstrate exceptional problem solving skills to creatively develop unique approaches and solutions that are necessary to address complex problems; the ability to anticipate and handle obstacles and propose solutions while demonstrating judgement and critical thinking which considers context, risk, impact and CIBC policies.
