Purpose:

Key Contributor to the overall success of Global Regulatory Operations and Internal Controls by leading and developing
business initiatives that support growth opportunities and improve business profitability and productivity. The Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives will be responsible for the execution of strategic projects that support AML Operations and its global partners through growth strategies and improvements to profitability, productivity, and overall business management

Accountabilities:

  • Lead and drive a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Manage multiple project work streams, including leading problem-solving sessions with cross-functional, business line team members, and subject matter experts.
  • Develop and implement change management plans that addresses the change impacts of the business, while minimizing stakeholder resistance and maximizing engagement.
  • Lead business planning initiatives including Profit Planning, business forecasting and funding approval for business investments or initiatives
  • The incumbent will be responsible for the strategic leadership and oversight of global initiatives including resource planning and cost savings/avoidance strategies
  • The incumbent will be responsible to maintain an understanding of the global end to end process as it relates to AML Operations and apply guidance where applicable to deliver improved results
  • Manage a team responsible for the planning and overall execution of business enablers while providing strategic guidance and influence over cost savings
  • Act as a central point of expertise for stakeholders and where applicable, lead sessions with stakeholders focused on business enablement intended to streamline operations under GOIC
  • Lead analytical efforts intended to identify trends and offer strategic guidance for how best to optimize system or employee performance
  • Participates and represents Global Regulatory Operations & Internal Controls in business plan development and on-going business meetings/decisions with applicable leaders and stakeholders
  • Identifies the right strategies and solutions to meet business objectives, provides strategic support to the teams and units within Global Regulatory Operations and Internal Controls
  • Delivers input and Feedback on program design to leaders in Global Regulatory Operations and Internal Controls, provides recommendations on program execution
  • Facilitates local regulatory compliance needs where applicable
  • Collaborates with Global Regulatory Operations and Internal Controls management team to deploy services that are required to be executed in the areas of communications and performance
  • Proactively utilize a wide range of data to identify themes, recommend strategies to meet needs
  • Lead, coordinate, and conduct meetings, facilitate working sessions and presentations with senior management
  • Ensures all activities conducted follow governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Education, Communications, Business Management or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in training and/or communications
  • Excellent written and verbal skills required to prepare communications and interact effectively with internal and external parties.
  • Receives direction from the Director AML Strategy & Business Enablement, VP AML Operations Governance and other senior management as appropriate on regulatory/reputational risk and policy matters
  • Strong editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential Strong organizational, project management and planning skills
  • Thorough knowledge of the Bank\'s interactive systems including Excel, PowerPoint and Word;
  • Results oriented, highly motivated with a keen ability to influence others.
