Join us!Job SummaryThe Senior Manager, Sales and Marketing Strategy and Events is responsible for leading projects as assigned, with an emphasis on handling communications, relationships, costs, and change management. The incumbent assists in developing a cohesive strategy that improves the performance of the Sales and Marketing team including a strong focus on oversight, delivery, and communication for smooth integration and maximum success. Furthermore, the incumbent is responsible for building and leading the events plan for Sales and Marketing. The incumbent oversees all campaigns, events, and trade shows, ensuring alignment of key messages for each campaign brought forward, and espouses a global strategic view of how each campaign fits into the complete corporate communications strategy.Main ResponsibilitiesSales and Marketing Strategy\xc2\xb7 Support defining a corporate strategy that aligns programs and initiatives across the Sales and Marketing functions within CN\'s overall strategic agenda\xc2\xb7 Link organizational and functional dependencies highlighting cost and benefits over time\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and senior leaders to support driving the Sales and Marketing Engagement Plan\xc2\xb7 Facilitate planning and prioritization of functional goals and priorities, ensuring a direct connection to long-term business goals\xc2\xb7 Ensure that the strategic portfolio is well documented and clearly communicated to key stakeholders in order to ensure alignment and understanding of the value drivers\xc2\xb7 Handle governance forums for regular process updates, issue escalation, and information dissemination to facilitate project prioritization and decision making\xc2\xb7 Ensure the progress and delivery of key initiatives, providing direct execution management support to the CCO and team\xc2\xb7 Support change management activities into project and implementation plans\xc2\xb7 Identify activities required to handle risk and resistance that may be associated with change\xc2\xb7 Support and deliver on the communication plans to keep stakeholders informed, engaged, and supportive of project and program initiatives\xc2\xb7 Coordinate Sales and Marketing activities and priorities for enhanced teamwork and efficiency\xc2\xb7 Handle budgeting, headcount, and communication alignment to support strategic goals and organizational evolutionSales and Marketing Events and Communications\xc2\xb7 Oversee CN\'s engagement at major events, conferences and trade shows\xc2\xb7 Work with Business Units (BUs) to identify the best platforms and conferences to support the goals of CN and maximize its investment\xc2\xb7 Create and handle unique, innovative, and distinct corporate event experiences (i.e., Business Plan, Investor Day, Safety Summit, Sales Meeting) that support CN\'s strategic goals and objectives\xc2\xb7 Work closely with the port authorities, terminal operators, and other supply chain stakeholders to create moments that bring together supply chain authorities to explore trends, opportunities, disruptions, and major shifts on the horizon\xc2\xb7 Ensure that CN advertising and content marketing efforts are aligned with the company\'s goals and creating synergies with other promotional initiatives and sponsorships\xc2\xb7 Build customer engagement and advocacy to gain a deeper understanding of customers, create solid relationships, and drive more revenue opportunities\xc2\xb7 Lead the Customer Advisory Council and develop a clear set of initiatives that will have the greatest positive impact on as many of the attending council members as possible and on CN\xc2\xb7 Identify potential customer initiatives based on CN\'s Voice of the Customer feedback with a focus on innovative concepts targeted to drive profitable revenue growth or remove major customer pain pointsAdministration and People Leadership\xc2\xb7 Draft, review, and execute communications on behalf of the CCO\xc2\xb7 Ensure project management practices and principles are followed when launching and running an initiative from start to end\xc2\xb7 Ensure change management practices and principles are applied when launching and running business implementation\xc2\xb7 Oversee functional townhall and collaboration workshops to ensure integrated planning and stakeholder involvement\xc2\xb7 Develop and oversee the teams budgetWorking ConditionsThe role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure and stress while running simultaneous projects.
