We are searching for a Senior Manager, Revenue and Client Accounts to join our Finance Team based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Senior Manager, Revenue and Client Accounts is responsible to:
  • Manage and lead growing billing and accounts receivable team to deliver best in class on time processing, communication, and customer service throughout the company\'s billing, receivables, pricing, and collection cycles.
  • Ensure consistent, clear and documented revenue processes across all our communities and service lines
  • Provide corporate governance reporting and oversight on the completeness and accuracy of revenue and receivables
  • With support of your analyst, lead the on time and on quality preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual aged receivables and collection reports for the Group of Companies,
  • Lead monthly collection meetings across operating divisions to ensure accurate collection actions and resident communications are in place
  • Mange relationships with the Government, residents, and their families, ensuring communications on invoicing, payment and billing are timely, clear, and consistently communicated.
  • Monitor and lead the month-end financial close for accounts receivable
  • Take a leading role in year-end audits by coordinating and providing auditors with requested information in a timely manner
  • Provide training and support to their dynamic team ensuring they are well supported on training, have role clarity
  • Foster a positive team culture focused on service excellence, process improvement and innovation
About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:
  • A bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
  • A minimum of 7 years experience in a similar role with leadership accountability
  • Experience in billing, accounts receivable, and collections
  • Excellent communication and management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft excel
  • Experience with Yardi software considered an asset
  • A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care.
