Reporting to the Director, Retail Leasing, the Senior Manager, Retail Leasing will play an integral role as part of the Corporate Real Estate team supporting the strategic management of the Rogers branded and Partner retail real estate portfolio across Canada.

What you'll be doing:

  • Negotiating lease renewals, relocations and net new deals for Rogers Corporate Brands, the Dealer Channel Network and Partner retail that are required to support the retail strategic direction
  • Ensuring that financial terms meet company budgets and that lease terms are compliant with Rogers' best business practices
  • Preparing, analyzing and negotiating individual Landlord portfolios for multiple properties
  • Supporting the Director on all Construction Plan related activities including prioritization of capital spend
  • Strengthening relationships and soliciting input from other departments, third party service providers and key stakeholders
  • Coaching managers and leasing specialists by providing negotiating advice and problem-solving support on issues requiring escalation
  • Managing ad hoc requests from internal business units and external partners
  • Managing various contracted brokers across the country as required by project-specific mandates
  • Attending conferences and industry functions to build and foster relationships with retail real estate landlords, other retailers, brokers and service providers
  • Travel requirements of up to 35% across Canada.
What you have:
  • Minimum 8 years related retail leasing experience, either as a retail tenant representative or retail landlord
  • Must possess established contacts and relationships in the retail real estate industry with both landlords and tenants
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Ability to understand and interpret retail leases and other relevant legal documents
  • Adept strategic thinker with the ability to make supportable decisions
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
  • Must possess excellent prioritizing and multi-tasking skills to manage multiple deals at any given time
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and technologically savvy
  • Must have own vehicle
