Job Title Senior Manager Quality Engineering



Execution and Operational Excellence:

  • Responsible for managing test teams and aligning to RBC Quality Engineering practices
  • Responsible for integration of QE resourcing to programs/projects, assuring engagement at the start of the initiative
  • Responsible for managing resources and vendor coordination, driving alignment with RBC practices and efficient usage
  • Effectively communicates and builds rapport with team members, stakeholders and business partners using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to close
  • Facilitates complex group meetings and conducts information gathering sessions
  • Prepares and delivers presentations to business and technology partners, senior management and executives, selecting the appropriate approach based on the audience
  • Resolves conflicts/issues and escalates others as appropriate
  • Manages the operations with 3rd party vendors
Managerial Excellence:
  • Promotes collaboration and partnering to develop and meet core project objectives
  • Executes Performance Management processes, including ensuring development plans & performance reviews are in place
  • Selects & builds a high performing diverse team that leverages individual capabilities & strengths
  • Ensures team has adequate training, consulting and tools to deliver objectives
  • Provides expertise, direction, coaching and development to build the team capability
in areas such as QE, Agile, DevOps and other RBC processes and practices
  • Promotes a mindset for sustained success, growth and diversity
  • Supports senior management in the development of workforce skill sets in order to meet transformation needs and achieve strategic goals
  • Designs and executes continuous improvement of processes to nurture team productivity
Projects and Initiatives:
  • Accountable to work with project teams in the implementation of defined test strategies across application lifecycle, utilizing QE processes and tools
  • Accountable for managing QE costs and resources across portfolio of projects with demand of project initiatives and budgets
  • Accountable for coverage and efficiency in program/projects test plans within area of control
  • Accountable for maximizing optimization of test cases and automation for all project functional testing deliverables in portfolio
  • Responsible for following defined processes and tools and alignment with overall QE strategy and framework
  • Responsible for providing accurate and detailed quality status to project team and stakeholders
  • Partner with Application Development Directors to integrate quality engineering mindset/concepts within the DevOps framework/pipeline
  • Responsible for coaching, mentoring, training and day to day interaction with a team of QE practitioners
Job Summary The Quality Engineering Senior Manager will lead and oversee a high performing team of technical testing resources on CRM initiatives existing in the domains of Salesforce. They will ensure strategic goals and objectives of RBC Wealth Management's initiatives are accomplished within approved time frames, scope, and budget, while adhering to risk policies and will be a single point of accountability regarding quality on programs assigned.
