Manager, Quality Engineering Permanent Full Time Hybrid: Cambridge, Toronto & Remote Gore Mutual is Building Our Future through digital first initiatives, paving the way for Next Horizon. Manager, Quality Engineering will oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met. • Manage project test activities and building Gore Quality Engineering practices while partnering across IT and with assigned business lines to plan functional and non-functional testing activities
• Ensure Test plans and test strategies are aligned with all stakeholders and covers the business scope of the project
• Ensure agreed processes and artifacts are being followed throughout the testing life cycle
• Leverage existing automation capabilities to automate test cases and identify new tools as per the QA best practices
• Effectively manage, mentor and build rapport with team members, be instrumental in their success and career growth
• Collaborate with stakeholders and cross functional business partners to represent Quality Engineering and Technology within Gore Mutual

What you will need to succeed in this role:

• Proven years leadership experience in Quality Assurance Engineering, ideally in insurance, fintech or banking with large Enterprise projects, applications and/or transformation initiatives
• Hands-on experience in developing and implementing efficient test strategies focused on automation and results driven
• Proven ability to influence teams to manage technical changes (process, tools, etc.) within program, project & portfolios.
• Experience in latest DevSecOps operations (with tools like Jenkins, GIT) and test integration, processes, and tools
• Educational background in IT, Computer Science or related technology fields
• Working knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, C, SQL DB querying) and Hands-on experience for source configuration tools (GIT, SVN, MKS, etc.)
• Diversified experience and deep expertise in different aspect of testing including Automation, Manual, Accessibility, Performance, Security, Mobile etc.
