The ideal candidate will have a strong background in capital project procurement within an EPC organization. The Senior Manager, Project Procurement will also have a robust track record of team leadership and strategic operational management.Duties and Responsibilities\xc2\xb7 Responsible for all activities related to the procurement of equipment, materials and third-party contract service ensuring quality compliance of equipment, materials, and third-party services.\xc2\xb7 Ensure delivery timing to meet project schedule requirements at the lowest cost, consistent with the other requirements.\xc2\xb7 Preparation of a Procurement Plan for the project, identifying all key equipment, materials and third-party contract services required, purchasing / contracting strategy proposed, proposed vendors, budget cost estimate.\xc2\xb7 Preparation of an approved vendor list for the project.\xc2\xb7 Preparation and issue of request for quotation packages to vendors.\xc2\xb7 Evaluation of vendor bids and preparation of recommendations for award.\xc2\xb7 Lead and manage the procurement team to ensure delivery of materials, supplies, equipment, and services to meet project requirements within budget and on schedule.\xc2\xb7 Ensuring the alignment of their area with broader organizational initiatives and objectives.QualificationsExperience and Qualifications\xc2\xb7 University Degree, or equivalent, in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.\xc2\xb7 Extensive and relevant experience including supervisory, project management and/or technical experience.\xc2\xb7 Ability to troubleshoot and develop tactical plans for implementing organizational goals and oversee the design of new concepts and ideas related to projects as well as functional area of expertise.\xc2\xb7 Broad knowledge of functional area and ability to implement and lead organizational project change effectively; Solutions are derived from interpreted and applied general information and consultation with other individuals.\xc2\xb7 Experience managing and directing work through supervisors or professionals leading others.\xc2\xb7 Management experience in the selection, training, discipline, and remuneration of staff.\xc2\xb7 Experience with assigning program work that involves several projects and sets policy framework for project work.\xc2\xb7 Effectively communicates and presents complex proposals and reports to senior level management.\xc2\xb7 Participative management style with a cooperative team approach.\xc2\xb7 Advanced understanding of systems, processes and tools related to field.\xc2\xb7 Experience with the development of new systems, processes, and tools.\xc2\xb7 Will understand business strategies, culture, and work to achieve results and can execute work beyond the scope of individual function.Moving forward togetherWe\xe2\x80\x99re committed to building a diverse, inclusive and respectful workplace where everyone feels they belong, can bring themselves, and are heard.
