About the day-to-day:




Lead and oversee the delivery of a portfolio of regulatory compliance projects in the Canadian banking sector. Ensure that all projects within the portfolio are aligned with regulatory requirements and business goals, while following governance from the Enterprise PMO. Work with Project Managers to define portfolio scope, objectives, and success metrics, ensuring continuous monitoring and reporting on project progress and regulatory adherence. Report on the regulatory portfolio as needed by the Enterprise PMO. Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and foster career growth opportunities for team members. Ensure that project managers and business analysts adhere to best practices in project management, business analysis, and regulatory compliance. Prioritize projects within the portfolio based on business needs and regulatory deadlines. Manage, coach, and develop a team of project managers, scrum masters, and business analysts, responsible for executing the projects in the regulatory portfolio. Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and foster career growth opportunities for team members. Ensure that project managers and business analysts adhere to best practices in project management, business analysis, and regulatory compliance. Create a collaborative and high-performing team culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.

About the qualifications:




7+ years of progressive experience in delivery or project management, with a focus on large-scale core operations projects in the Canadian banking sector. Proven experience managing teams of project managers, scrum masters and business analysts. Proven experience in waterfall and agile project management methodologies and tools. Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree or PMP certification is a plus). Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and tools to track portfolio progress.

About the work environment:





Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home. Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm with flexibility around start/end times.

Compensation:





Peoples Group is pleased to offer employees a competitive annual salary plus a discretionary profit share opportunity. Salary for this position will vary between $120,000 and $137,000 per year depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities and experience that the chosen candidate possesses.
