This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior project accounting manager who is looking for a new challenge!

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Impact Recruitment has partnered with a boutique full service real estate development, construction and property management firm in downtown Vancouver that has over $2 billion in projects and are known for making a difference in the communities they serve. Currently, they are looking to add a project accounting manager to their team.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the senior project accounting manager will be responsible for managing a small team, some of the duties include but are not limited to:

• Manages cashflow forecasts for pre-construction projects and capital call schedules.
• Ensure project equity requirements are up to date, review monthly loan draws and present to lenders.
• Forecasts equity requirements for construction projects while taking into account the partnership structure
• Work in collaboration with the CFO to assess short/long term cash needs.
• Process proforma\'s and work with other departments to make sure they are updated accurately
• Oversee, document, and implement project accounting policies and process (cost codes, budgeting, draws, reporting, approvals, contract, purchase order and change order processes, etc.).
• Review monthly/ year-end financial statements and improve internal accounting polices and procedures.
• Work with the external tax consultants for year-end tax reporting.
• Assist with preparation of insurance documents related to different projects.
• Mentor and coach, the junior project accounting team.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of project accounting experience
• Construction or development accounting experience is required.
• CPA designation is an asset.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Salary: $125,000 to $130,000
• Discretionary bonus
• 3 to 4 weeks\xe2\x80\x99 vacation
• Extended health and dental benefits
