Job Title Senior Manager, P&CB Finance - PSI



Primary Responsibilities

Primary financial lead for DI and IE businesses, essentially acting as CFO for the business. Provide financial guidance and support to the Business in development of their strategies.

Lead the development of financial models related to investment decisions and new initiatives, providing guidance on key performance and business metrics.

Assist business in financial target setting as part of the forecasting and planning processes. Identify key risks and opportunities to the forecast and plan.

Identify opportunities to transform and advance our planning processes using driver-based forecasting methods, including regression techniques where warranted.

Provide monthly results to the management team of DI and IE businesses. Ensure timely reporting of monthly results. Effectively interpret and communicate the financial results, highlighting key plan and growth variances.

Lead cost savings initiatives on behalf of the Business, identifying areas and opportunities for cost savings.

Identify areas to streamline Finance processes, generating internal time savings (5% annual target).

Managerial Excellence

Provide focus and clarity in establishing individual goals, driving performance management, supporting career development and rewarding strong performance.

Accept and successfully execute change while supporting DI and IE teams through the process and keeping them focused on business priorities.

Key Relationships

Direct Investing - VP / CEO of Direct Investing is key Business partner. Also partner with VP / Senior Director head of RBC InvestEase, with regular visibility to Head of PSI

P&CB Finance team - Finance partners in Product Control, Financial Control, and Platform Performance Management, including Finance Leadership team.

Must Have

Excellent financial and analytical skills

Strong communication (oral & written) and interpersonal skills in order to establish value-add relationships at all levels

Solid knowledge/previous experience in financial reporting /analysis and expense/cost management and chargeouts

Knowledge and experience with financial systems (EPM)

Proven planning, organizational, problem solving and execution skills

Strong Client Focus and Service Provider mindset

Business acumen and understanding of business strategies and impacts

Proven expertise in Excel and PowerPoint

Innovative and creative thinking

Ability to execute and deliver results on time

CA, CMA, CGA, MBA and / or CFA would be an asset

Working Conditions (Legislative Requirement)

Office environment requiring limited physical effort

Time Allocation

50%: Advisory services to business in preparation of various financial projections on initiatives/projects, ad-hoc analysis

35%: Planning, Forecasting, and Reporting

15%: Communication with other Finance teams

Job Summary The Senior Manager, P&CB Finance - PSI will be:

Responsible for providing Finance Advisory support and services to the RBC Direct Investing ("DI") and RBC InvestEase ("IE") lines of business within Canadian Banking.

Lead contact to the business to provide value added financial analysis and advisory support for investment decisions related to initiatives and projects.

Lead the business in financial target setting as part of forecasting, planning and budgeting processes, including identifying relevant risks and opportunities to forecast/plan.

Provide guidance on strategic initiatives and investments. Provide guidance and assistance in pricing decisions and other ad-hoc requests, where required.
