ROLE PURPOSE
The Senior Manager will apply leadership and innovation as the life force that sustains and enhances our programs. This position will make a difference by ensuring that the delivery of client services for assigned program(s) meet or exceed client needs, funder and regulatory requirements, and annual outcome targets across programs in their portfolio.
STATUS AND CLASSIFICATION

REPORTING AND WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports and is accountable to the Regional Director or their designate
Participates as a member of the Connective Support Society senior management team
Participates and contributes to special projects, working groups, or committees internally and externally as requested or assigned.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Works in collaboration with the Director in representing the organization as a key leader in the community, advocating for Connective service users and services.
Works in collaborations with the Director and participates in maintaining strong relationships with funders, government organizations, media, and other key IAPs in relation to their designated programs.
Demonstrates a commitment to cultural awareness and safety, ensuring culturally appropriate service delivery and engagement with particular focus on Indigenous communities connected to their designated programs.
Ensures designated programs meet organizational standards, compliance with contractual obligations, including compliance with related policies, legal and regulatory requirements and relevant accreditation standards.
Ensures the development of annual outcome measurement plans (identifies goals, measurements and outcomes) and the safety and quality of service delivery of their designated programs.
Provides direct reports to partners and funders as required. This may include reporting for services, critical incidents reports, service level reporting, and other reporting requirements stated in the contracts.
Assesses and resolves operational issues and policies, that might include labor relations that have been escalated from Managers that have the potential for a grievance.
Contributes as a member of the senior leadership team within their respective region in developing regional strategic and operational plans.
Contributes as a member of the Senior Management team by informing and participating in organization wide initiatives, including communicating and ensuring team members within their programs are up to date on initiatives and key organizational communications
Proactively monitors program and service trends including incident reports, program utilization, financial activities, as examples to Identify, approve, implement and/or designate opportunities for continuous quality improvement to our delivery of services.
Supports the implementation of new programs for assigned area in consultation with the Regional Director
Works in collaboration with the Finance team to plan and review monthly financials, provide direct input to the annual budget of their assigned programs, and to make decisions that support that program within the approved budget.
Represents the needs of the Connective clients to develop key relationships: participating in community committees, working groups and other community organizations to improve service delivery.
Provides direct management, support, motivation, coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to employees and teams in addition to performance management.
Takes on programs and client services accountabilities as assigned by the Regional Director in their absence, including backfilling for Program Managers as required.
Is a role-model for professional workplace conduct and encourages and fosters a positive workplace environment.
Provides timely communication to the Regional Director and/or Executive Team Members of any exposure to risk that is presented or could emerge in program and services operations.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Adhere to Connective policies and procedures
Travel within region to support service delivery and program sites within portfolio
Be available to work flexible hours as needed. May include some evenings/weekends, as determined by the regional office/Program needs and schedules
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment. The ideal candidate has:
A bachelor's degree in criminology, social sciences, social work, or other related fields and professional experience in corrections, community living, shelter or residential programming.
Seven years of related experience working with vulnerable populations with complex mental health and/or substance use issues in the social services sector including Community Living, Mental Health & Addictions, and Criminal Justice System
Three to five years of professional management experience leading small to medium-sized teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skill in English
Experience with financial/human resources management, unions, and non-profit management
Ability to motivate and organize a staff team
Growth orientated and adept at change management within a responsive environment
Administrative experience and strong administrative skills
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, conflict management and resolution strategies, as well as a positive work approach
Preference for candidates with knowledge of non-profit work environments, especially in Housing, the Criminal Justice Services, Health Services and Community Living Services and experience in working with diverse population groups.

Ability to successfully complete a Vulnerable Persons Criminal Records Check
Ability to successfully complete an Enhanced Security Clearance
Proof of vaccination for communicable diseases may be required as mandated by Government, Health Authority, and/or funder requirements.
Current Emergency First Aid Certificate
Valid class 5 driver's license and driver's abstract
Personal transportation that is in good repair, insured for business up to $1,000,000 for liability, and which can be used to transport clients
COMPENSATION
The salary range for this exempt position will be $82,000- $102,485
