Job Summary

The Senior Manager Human Resources- Operations Eastern Regions is responsible for leading a Human Resources (HR) team and the strategic business partner to Senior Management in the Operations Eastern Regions. The role oversees all aspects of human resources and serves as a coach to members of the team.

Main Responsibilities

\xc2\xb7 Drive business results with Executives by acting as an active and influential trusted business advisor

\xc2\xb7 Implement HR initiatives and programs that effectively support overall company strategy

\xc2\xb7 Support functions in executing key HR processes, including recruiting, performance management, succession planning and compensation

\xc2\xb7 Communicate policy and program changes and ensure successful roll-out of all HR programs

\xc2\xb7 Partner with business leaders to drive employee engagement and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives

\xc2\xb7 Drive organizational design and structure in functions being transformed and ensure right roles and talent are in place to fulfill transformation objectives

\xc2\xb7 Implement learning and training strategy to ensure CN has the leadership capabilities and supervisory skills to meet business needs

Working Conditions

The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure, and stress.

Requirements

Experience and Education

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s Degree in Human Resources or relevant discipline

\xc2\xb7 10+ years of HR experience that include 3+ years of experience leading, supervising, coaching and mentoring a staff

\xc2\xb7 Ability to travel throughout Canada and locations within the USA

\xc2\xb7 Human Resources Certification (CRHA) or equivalent as an asset

\xc2\xb7 Experience in a federally regulated industry will be considered as an asset

Technical Skills/Knowledge

\xc2\xb7 Expertise in strategic planning, complex problem resolution and general management

\xc2\xb7 Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations

\xc2\xb7 Fully bilingual in both English and French will be considered as an asset
