About the Role Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis will be responsible for providing deep analytical insight into enterprise-wide target setting and performance and proactively identifying improvement opportunities that will deliver financial benefits. This role is responsible for the budgeting process, financial forecasts and producing accurate and timely management financial reports and analysis. What You Will Do

  • Support the organization with key strategic financial analysis of AtomVie\xe2\x80\x99s initiatives and long-term planning, including costing, forecasting, 5-10 year models, budgeting and resource allocation and strategic planning
  • Manage and coordinate company financial planning and budget/forecast management functions.
  • Manage customer service/supply contracts to ensure monthly invoicing remains in-line with agreements and revenues recognized appropriately.
  • Manage cashflows, along with future cashflow modelling.
  • Lead the production of the monthly reporting package, including variance analysis of actual vs budget, including root cause analysis and recommendations to improve profitability and deliver planned targets.
  • Lead the Finance team into a process improvement mindset to optimize time, reduce redundancy and increase value-added analysis.
  • Provide financial support for business cases. Communicating key case facts to ensure the Leadership Team understands commitments before securing incremental company resources. Track actual performance vs estimated in the business cases to capture learning and report back to the Leadership Team.
  • Work collaboratively with AtomVie departments to maintain deep understanding of business activities and priorities to define and continually evolve analytic requirements for proactive operational changes to drive for improved financial management and profitability.
  • Support year-end reporting process, including the external audit, tax returns including SRED and any support for Board of Director presentation packages, as requested.
  • Prepare and participate in financial due diligence as required.
  • Participate in the finance ERP implementation and ensure continued maintenance is in line with the overall project objectives.
  • Complete month-end close activities as assigned by Senior Director of Finance and Administration.
  • Exhibit flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments as they are identified and to assist with various ad hoc projects as needed.



Experience Necessary


  • 5-10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field
  • Professional accounting designation or MBA is preferred
  • Advanced analytical, financial reporting with previous experience in financial analysis and planning with strong link to business and operations is a must
  • Adaptability and flexible with respect to managing client, organizational and legislative requirements
  • Customer service oriented
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • ERP experience would be beneficial
  • Proficient Excel skills are essential
