We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to join our finance team, reporting to the SVP of Finance. In this role, you will lead strategic financial planning initiatives, provide data-driven insights to support executive decision-making and drive financial performance in a fast-paced organization.
What you'll do
Financial Planning and Forecasting:
Lead the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial planning.
Develop financial models to assess revenue trends, operating expenses, and capital investments.
Oversee bookings and revenue forecasting and present findings to senior leadership.
Provide scenario analysis and sensitivity modeling to support strategic initiatives.
Business Performance and Reporting: Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Deliver insights on financial results, trends, and risks to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Support earnings call preparation and external financial reporting.
Prepare presentations and financial summaries for board and executive team meetings.
Business Partnership Serve as a strategic financial partner to D-Wave Go-To-Market (GTM) team providing data-driven insights to optimize revenue growth and efficiency.
Provide financial guidance on investment decisions and support pipeline analysis, sales productivity metrics, customer acquisition costs, and marketing ROI.
Collaborate with the GTM team to assess pricing strategies and deal structures to enhance profitability.
Support Sales Operations in administering commission plans and ensuring commissions are calculated accurately and timely.
Process and Systems Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in financial analysis and reporting.
Drive optimization of financial systems and tools to enhance reporting capabilities.
Utilize advanced data analytics techniques to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.
Leadership: Manage a Senior Financial Analyst, with the potential to grow the team as the company continues to scale.
About You
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
7+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis, preferably within the SaaS or technology industry and with a publicly traded company.
Strong financial modeling skills, proficiency in Excel, and experience with financial planning software (e.g. Vena).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
Proven ability to lead teams, influence cross-functional partners, and drive strategic initiatives.
