\xe2\x80\x8bWhat is the Opportunity?

The GRM Risk Policy and Analytics group provides independent and effective on-site monitoring, control and communication on the nature and extent of material risks for Business Financial Services (BFS). We are looking for someone who can drive custom risk Analytics and Insights to business partners by building and operating a modern, open source scalable platform for reporting, analytics and data science. As a Senior Manager, Data Science you will contribute to the overall success of the BFS risk oversight strategies and objectives. You are accountable for executing reporting functions, strengthening risk methodologies and evolving the analytics capabilities for the team.

Portfolio Risk Oversight (PRO) is extremely dynamic and the team needs to be able to proactively uncover insights from new risk trends and processes using open source data technologies. To succeed you will have to develop and maintain strong ties with business leaders to support decision making through a combination of custom analytics and the evolution of the PRO data infrastructure. The PRO team runs a best-in-class data & analytics stack, which requires constant refinements and enhancements to provide business users with relevant and timely self-serve analytics. You will ensure that our team is successful by leveraging the data in the best possible way. You will be a hands-on analytics practitioner and consultant to ensure that we track, maintain and analyze data in a way that leads us to optimize operational processes and make better business decisions.

What will you do?

  • Support the PRO Business Analytics & Innovation leadership in the design, coordination, execution and monitoring of key transformational initiatives
  • Partner with cross functional teams to develop an ML/data science products.
  • Lead & support the development of feature farm for machine learning and deep dive initiatives
  • Building and supporting data engineering pipelines in Python using PySpark and Apache Airflow for reporting, data science, analytics, and ad-hoc querying.
  • Lead & support the development of an open source geospatial framework to identify and report the portfolio exposure based on an adverse climate or supply chain events.
  • Support the risk data architecture, data management standards and conventions, data naming standards, and metadata standards to ensure effective availability, scalability, security, and integrity of data assets.
  • Manage and optimizes an inventory of risk data sources. Responsible for compiling, aggregating, testing and validating different data repositories/sources for the risk dashboards ensuring completeness, accuracy, timeliness and integrity of information;
  • Analyze data sources, evaluating and remediating data quality, designing and implementing data sets that can be consumed and re-used by our analytics team
What do you need to succeed?

Must-have
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of professional work experience in the area of Data Analytics / Data Science / Business Analytics
  • Strong experience in the big data ecosystem, with Hadoop (Hive, HDFS), Apache Spark, and NoSQL/SQL databases
  • Strong experience in developing and implementing data science techniques (predictive, prescriptive, ML etc.)
  • Strong Python programming experience especially using modules/packages such as SciKit-Learn, Pandas, SQLAlchemy , NLTK, spaCy etc.
  • Experience with Natural Language Processing and supervised/unsupervised learning methodologies.
  • Strong core competency in SQL. Experience in writing complex SQL queries to extract and integrate data from multiple database source
Nice-to-have
  • Knowledge of Credit Risk Modelling techniques
  • Experience working with knowledge graphs stores (Neo4j) and surrounding semantic technology
  • Knowledge of open source Geospatial Frameworks
  • Experience working with Cloud Technologies
