As a ML Engineer at TELUS, you\'ll be in great company, working alongside some of the brightest and most creative Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Strategists. You will be part of the journey we\'re on to better understand our customers, to predict their needs and interaction behavior. With your expert knowledge and experience in Machine Learning, you will contribute to the development of state-of-the-art ML & AI driven solutions. Our team works in a fun, innovative, and challenging environment that directly influences the strategic direction and performance of the Marketing, Strategy & Data Insights team in our Home Solutions and Mobility business.

What you\'ll do

• Support and evolve the AI Insights roadmap by leveraging industry research, best practices, and emerging tools/technologies
• Study and transform data science prototypes and design machine learning systems according to requirements for production
• Select appropriate datasets and data representation methods
• Execute, oversee, and evolve production ML models and algorithm selection to deliver solutions that are relevant and facilitate decision-making.
• Build and maintain a strong engagement with key stakeholders to understand business needs and priorities
• Identify opportunities for process/model optimization and refine to improve effectiveness/accuracy and enhance ROI
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and Data Engineers within TELUS as well as external Data Science communities
• Responsible for end-to-end engagement from problem definition to insight delivery as well as value realization & measurement

Qualifications

What you bring

• You have 5 + years experience in a data related position
• Extensive experience with ML frameworks, platforms and tools, and expert knowledge with GCP
• You have solid development experience with Python and are comfortable with using GitHub and other programing languages
• You are well versed in software and AI development lifecycles
• You are capable of delivering technical and complex concepts in a way that is understood by non-technical audiences
• You are a collaborative, creative, open-minded individual who possesses a natural curiosity and desire to experiment
• You have the ability to communicate effectively to gather advanced Data Science requirements from Director-level stakeholders and communicate finding/insights in clear concise manner; ability to create/deliver impactful presentations

Great-to-haves

• Masters in a quantitative field such as Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or Data Science
• Google Professional ML Engineering Certification
• Data visualization experience: Data Studio, Tableau, PowerBI, Domo, or Looker
• Experience with agile methodology and team-based software development workflows (e.g. JIRA, Monday.com, etc.) #LI-Remote
