Role Impact:

As a client relationship leader, provokes, creates and assembles opportunities for the properties and portfolio by sourcing and securing new clients and working with existing tenants to satisfy expansion/renewal requirements. This role collaborates with internal departments to ensure a smooth transition through each of the client touch points.

What you will deliver:

• Assist in the creation of the leasing strategy
• Develop and establish well formulated strategic leasing plans for assigned assets that are aligned to the strategic approach for national clients.
• Identify, source and secure new national clients, and work with existing clients to satisfy expansion/renewal requirements.
• Negotiate deal terms with national clients and follow up on the execution of final documentation.
• Execute client service standards to ensure a smooth transition from the offer to lease through build-out of leasehold improvements, and move in as well as rental billing.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with clients. Actively seek, listen and respond to client feedback to ensure alignment of their needs to our goals.
• Execute the strategic leasing plans, ensuring plans are adjusted to meet broad commitments and long term direction beyond three years.
• Participate in the development and implementation of a client brand strategy in order to ensure a consistent approach nationally
• Collaborate and consult internally to build effective relationships across portfolios.
• Proactively enhance Cadillac Fairview's image externally through industry events such as Internal Council of Shopping Centers, Building Owners and Managers Association, Real Estate Forum, etc.
• Execute the leasing team objectives, ensuring a merchandising mix that fits within each property and is nationally consistent.
• Ensure compliance with the company's delegated authorities policy and completion of appropriate business cases in a timely manner.
• Manage and execute the budget for each asset to ensure alignment with the 3 and 5 year plan with monthly reporting of revenue.
• Participate in special assignments at a portfolio and national level.

What your strengths are:

• Previous experience with a client focused approach to leasing
• Solid written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to deliver effective presentations
• Solid financial and business acumen
• Aptitude for identifying, assessing and managing both risks and opportunities
• Basic skills in interpreting financial data, lease documents and market research
• Ability to collaborate, consult and build strong internal relationships within a national organization
• Demonstrated capacity to work under pressure and to embrace change

What you need to succeed:

• Post secondary education in a related discipline
• 5-7 years experience in commercial real estate and lease management
• Understanding of commercial leasing, merchandising, and client needs
• Commitment to obtain a designation of Certified Leasing Specialist, Certified Shopping Centre Manager or other BOMA or recognized Real Estate Association designations in commercial leasing & merchandising.
• Proficient computer skills

This position is based at the Windsor offices in Montreal, Quebec

This position is a maternity leave replacement full time contract with benefits.
