PURPOSE

The Senior IT Change Analyst is responsible for managing changes from inception to implementation, and ensuring that all changes are accurately recorded, scheduled and controlled.

The Senior IT Change Analyst works closely with the Release Coordination, Software Development and various IT Infrastructure teams, as well as, the Quality Engineering team, to ensure all changes adhere to the change management process.

A successful candidate for this position should be passionate about establishing good processes and following the best IT governance practices. The selected candidate must be comfortable working independently, as well as, being part of a collaborative environment; must have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn about our industry and customer requirements, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Prepare the Change Advisory Board (CAB) meeting agenda and facilitate CAB meetings.
  • Ensure all changes follow the Change and Release Management processes (e.g. Software Promotion Model, Change Requests, builds sign-offs, etc.).
  • Support the activities leading to the closure of Change Requests.
  • Monitors and reviews the progress of all open Change Requests until their completion.
  • Establish and maintain metrics and dashboards for the Change Management team.
  • Implement ongoing quality improvement processes working with interdepartmental teams.
  • Support a culture of Change Management that prevents and deters unauthorized changes.
  • Create and distribute accurate Change Management reports and analysis.
  • Assess the priority and impact of all changes for accuracy ensuring consideration to the potential conflicts.
  • Approve or reject changes, on behalf of CAB, based on the risk and impact analysis, and conflict with other planned changes or events.
  • Obtain additional approval for changes, if required, by creating approval tasks and assigning them to the appropriate subject matter expert.
  • Monitor the Change Management KPIs and KRIs, and provide the required reports to IT Governance
  • Analyze Change Requests to determine any possible trends/problems and suggest solutions.
  • Assist with audit coordination and gathering of pertinent data.
  • Provide Change Management training and advise IT on best practices in Change Management.
  • Promote and adhere to ITIL guidelines and overall industry best practices, and act as a point of contact in this matter.

DO YOU HAVE THE SKILLS THAT WILL ENABLE YOU TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE? - WE\'D LOVE TO WORK WITH YOU IF YOU HAVE:

Minimum Qualifications
  • University or College Degree or equivalent IT experience
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Over three years of work related experience
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the project management practices, disciplines, tools, and methodologies (Agile and Waterfall)
  • Over three years of end user experience with ITSM tools such as, ServiceNow or Remedy
  • Competent in reporting tools i.e. Crystal Reports, and developing simple database queries using SQL
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Visio and MS Project)
  • Experience with industry best practices standards (ITIL, PMP, Agile, DevOps, CMMI and others)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous exposure to the banking industry/financial services
  • Over three years of end user experience with Jira and Confluence
