What\'s the job

The Business Analyst within the CT IT team is responsible for having a clear understanding of the various business processes within CertainTeed Canada (Including acquired businesses). Combining business process knowledge with hands-on ERP experience (SAP preferred), the business analyst will help implement a variety of IT solutions.

Business Analyst will ensure to capture Canadian business requests and pain points and the candidate will work with other CT IT North America teams to design and implements solution. Communication with business teams and IT teams is key success factor to strike a good balance between Canadian focus and overall North America based prioritization process.

The Business Analyst will be key member to ensure seamless IT system integration of acquired business with CT application portfolio.

Candidate will act as location lead for Montreal and neighboring cities for any organizational / location based administrative subjects.

• Participate in implementing company\'s IT roadmap in coordination with various departments.
• Act as IT application owner. Ensure application usability as per Service Level agreements. Manage support incident, change request, complete application security documentation per SG guidelines.

• Professionally present IT Solutions to solve business pain points and/or new business requirements.
• Participate and lead business requirements discovery sessions. Document and manage scope. Breakdown high level scope into manageable projects.
• Document detailed functional requirements and create functional/Technical design.
• Capture local language (Specially French) requirement and ensure compliance.
• Conduct fit and feasibility analysis of proposed solutions.
• Translate functional design to technical requirements and integration requirements.
• Manage projects from idea stage to hypercare.
• Manage support incidents, change requests, complete application security documentation per Saint-Gobain policies and guidelines.
• Work with software vendors, consultants, and offshore teams to deliver excellent services and solutions to our internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with functional testing of solutions and determination of go-live readiness.
• Train the business users on new features or existing applications.
• Work with business and technical teams to create and publish relevant/ actionable business management dashboards and roadmaps for IT Solutions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

What do you bring?

• Bachelor\'s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience
• 10 + years of system analysis experience relevant to the position Essential Functions within a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and lead sessions with Business and IT resources.
• Demonstrated ability to present professionally to cross-functional teams and management
• 5+ years of experience in core business process in Sales, Logistics, Manufacturing and Finance as Business/ process analyst
• Experience in one or more of the following preferred tools: SAP ERP, Oracle EBS, Aptean ERP
• Experience in coordinating with various team and negotiating a optimal and practical approach
• Experience in customer facing applications. understanding of local laws and regulations in related application is preferred. List includes SOX, PCI, OADA, GDPR etc.
• Experience in Waterfall, Agile project management methods. Experience with Jira, Confluence, Service Now or similar tools.
• Bilingual: French & English

• Candidate will need to obtain a good balance between the guidance provided by the GDI and CertainTeed\'s local technology and business needs.
• Work closely with all functions in IT team to establish priority for the team and resolve any priority related conflicts across functions. Should be able effectively negotiate to create win-win for all the stake holders.
• Problem solving skills is key
• Technical documentation writing skills and work experience.
• Project management foundational knowledge and work experience
• Knowledge of business processes definition and process improvement
• Strong communication skills and presentation abilities
• Strong business acumen and understanding of business issues across multiple domains
• Should be able to understand and create integration flows
