Description:
This position will support projects and initiatives driven by the AHS Cybersecurity Program to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of AHS information and systems. Evaluate diverse information, reconcile inconsistencies, identify key trends, and manage risks with robust strategies. Understand both business and technical requirements for seamless integration with existing technology. Collaborate with architects, experts, and stakeholders to develop detailed specifications and plans. Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders using comprehensive documents, reports, presentations, diagrams, and displays. Participate in strategic planning to align IT initiatives with business objectives, providing actionable insights and recommendations. Act as the primary liaison between CDWS, IT teams, and business units, ensuring solutions align with organizational goals. Identify internal and external stakeholders, manage change impacts, assess business readiness, and optimize communication approaches. Manage stakeholder expectations across projects and organizational levels. Assess the impact of change on processes, systems, teams, and users; develop mitigation plans. Evaluate organizational change readiness, design strategies to foster resilience, and adjust plans for desired outcomes. Guide prioritization of initiatives based on urgency, ROI, compliance, and alignment with objectives. Design educational materials on new technologies and processes for diverse audiences. Standardize documentation per AHS styles and best practices, updating technical and end-user materials on platforms like Insite, ServiceNow, and Teams. Serve as the central contact between CDWS, IT teams, and business units, ensuring transparent communication.

Required Qualifications:

Post-secondary completion in business, information technology or a health-related discipline. Proven equivalent knowledge will be considered. Minimum of five years of work experience specific to business analysis activities including application of core and advanced business analysis processes, tools and techniques. Competency in all core aspects and techniques of business analysis should be at a senior level. Excellent communication, facilitation and negotiation skills; ability to conduct group presentations effectively and efficiently including at the executive level. Proven expertise in engaging business and IT stakeholders to understand business needs. Conduct stakeholder elicitation activities effectively, adeptly manage the requirements analysis, synthesis, documentation and validation process, and facilitate hand-off to architects, developers and vendors. Solid understanding of business process design and visualization, as well as Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) standards. Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, planning and monitoring own workload. Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others. Ability to work in an organization with both direct and dotted-line reporting and peer relationships.

Additional Required Qualifications:

May require some limited travel to meet provincial stakeholders (if/as needed).

Preferred Qualifications:

Membership in and/or certification through a professional organization related to business analysis and/or health informatics is preferred. Understanding of IT infrastructure and technology. Experience rolling out technology projects like migration to Cloud, Microsoft etc.
