The Intermediate/Senior IT Analyst position works on a variety of projects and tasks in several client environments to provide Tier II/III level consulting in a number of diversified technical environments. This person will assist in assessing existing IT infrastructure or system requirements, implementing solutions or recommending enhancements to existing technologies. Our clients include small businesses as well as midsized and larger companies.

Position Responsibilities include:

Provide Tier II/III consulting, including analysis and implementation of solutions for clients. Directly work with leadership in handling client's technical issues, implementing solutions, new client transitions Assist with escalated issues from colleagues via phone, email or ticketing system. Design, implement and maintain cloud solutions within the Azure environment, including virtual machines and networking, Entra AD and Directory Services, security and firewall, and integration with on-premises technology. Design, install, monitor, upgrade and maintain server hardware, software and operating systems including design, installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Microsoft solutions (including Active Directory, Azure, MS SQL) and responsibility for the configuration and management of technologies that are part of the IT Infrastructure. Document, maintain or create technical documentation (i.e. reports, operational procedures, change control, recommendations and progress reports). Identify and document security risks to clients' data, software and hardware. Share knowledge and experience to enhance the technical capabilities of peers and build prospective opportunities. Work with third party vendors and partners as needed. Work on projects independently or with other team members

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Degree/diploma in computer science or equivalent education. Certifications are an asset for this role (e.g. Azure, MCSE, CCENT, CCNP, CCNA). 5 or more years of experience in IT in a role administering, implementing and designing IT infrastructure for a variety of technical environments. Experience in a lead role and/or an IT consulting role a strong asset. Proven experience working in complex technical environments. Maturity and professionalism to mentor and support fellow team members. Ability to translate and discuss highly technical issues in non-complex terms. Ability to critically analyze and troubleshoot complex problems in an efficient manner, for proprietary or third party software/applications. Effective interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with management, peers and junior colleagues. Must have a consistent track record of implementing IT solutions and providing a high level of IT support. Customer service focused, personable, and responsive to client issues. Good English communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to effectively know when to escalate or discuss issues with management and/or to keep coworkers up to date on IT issues that may affect others on the team. Able to work independently and proactively. Experience in working in a busy environment, and handle competing priorities with minimal supervision. Effective organization and time management skills. Ability to occasionally work a flexible schedule for projects or provide after-hours support. Ability to plan and implement IT solutions in an efficient manner. Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure (servers, Azure cloud, desktops, mobile devices, backups, security, and data storage, computer networks LAN, WAN, WLAN). Excellent working knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server, Exchange, Office 365, Azure, operating system deployment, management, monitoring and troubleshooting. Knowledge of O365 licensing and administration portal. Understanding of business operations as related to IT. Knowledge of Oil & Gas industry applications (financial, geological, production and engineering) considered a strong asset. Experience and knowledge in the design, installation and support of Windows Hyper-V/Failover Cluster and VMware vSphere virtualized environments. Microsoft Azure design and administration. To support the integration of broader solutions into customer environments, knowledge of any of the following technologies is considered an asset: Communication technologies including, but not limited to IP-Telephony, Unified Communications, and Video Conferencing. Wireless LAN technology including Aruba, Cisco, HP Networking and Fortinet. Network Security solutions, such as Cisco, Fortinet, SonicWALL, etc. including but not limited to knowledge in the configuration and troubleshooting of gateway AV scanning; IPsec VPN tunnels, NAT and web filtering. Understanding of public-key cryptography and the application of certificates (TLS).
