Location: Toronto, ON or Montreal, QC
Reports to: Sr. Human Resources Manager
Pay: 70 K -80 K + comprehensive benefits
Must Be: Fully bilingual (French and English)
Preference: Completed or working towards a CPHR, CRHA, or equivalent designation.
Knowledge of legislation pertaining to employment.
Proficiency in MS Office applications. Experience with ADP Workflow. PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE The Sr. HRG performs day-to-day Human Resources (HR) tasks in accordance with HR policies, procedures and programs. The HR as benefits administration, training and development, performance management, and workplace health Generalist also provides support and advice to management and employees in all functional areas of HR such and safety. Specific Responsibilities The Sr. HRG will at various times be responsible for the following as well as other related duties as assigned to support the business objectives and purpose of the Company.
  • Provides information and advice in human resources practice areas including recruitment and selection, workplace issues, performance management, workplace health and safety, and Human Resources related legislation.
  • Assists managers and employees in the interpretation of HR polices, processes, programs and employment legislation.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with Managers and all staff to create awareness and understanding of Human Resources strategies and philosophies.
  • Conducts investigations, and may represent the organization in employment legislation matters.
  • With guidance from HR Leadership, executing on various HR programs and initiatives.
  • Provides benefits education, training and support to employee inquiries
  • Provides HR services to other regions in the absence of the other HR staff or during periods of high work volume.
  • Participates as a member of committees as required.
  • Assists in documentation for disciplinary processes, and provides full HR support for termination of employment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements To be successful in the Sr. Human Resources Generalist position, an individual must be committed to developing, maintaining and demonstrating the following: Education and Experience:
  • Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Human Resources or in a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years\xe2\x80\x99 progressive work experience in HR.
  • Completed or working towards a CPHR, CRHA, or equivalent designation.
  • Familiarity with Human Resource Management Systems, experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Knowledge of legislation pertaining to employment.

Other Requirements:
  • Willingness and ability to arrange travel to visit campuses and other sites as required
  • Driver\xe2\x80\x99s license is preferred.
  • May be required to travel to other Regions in Canada (up to 10% overall)
