Actalent is hiring a Senior hardware engineer for a leading telecommunications network equipment and software services supplier company!Description:The successful candidate will be part of a team of hardware designers working on the design, implementation, and validation of complex printed circuit boards.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Analyze and select design alternatives based on cost, power, space and functional requirements- Component selection and coding to achieve requirements compliance- Detailed Design and Schematic capture of High-Speed Digital/Analog/Power Circuits- Oversee the CAD implementation of the PCB associated with the design- Documentation of Functional Specification, Test Plans and Reports- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to coordinate the efforts of FPGA designers, Manufacturing Engineers, Software Designers, Test Engineers, Verification Engineers, and others throughout the development phase- Thorough validation of designs and interfaces against component and commercial requirements- Chair design milestone meetings to ensure multidisciplinary objectives and architectural needs are met in accordance with ISO requirements- Support internal customers during the development phase and external customers (and manufacturing) after product is deployed- Review and approve Customer Documentation and Characterization Plans and Reports.- Submission of design into corporate database during prototype and production stages.- Participate in process change and improvement forumsRequirements:1) 8+ years of Hardware design with implementing circuit packs for complex hardware design2) High-speed Design (Ethernet switch ideally)3) Full ownership of the circuit pack development (testing, support, documentation, DFT- producing test specifications)Experience Level:Expert LevelWorking With ActalentActalent is a worldwide leader in engineering consulting talent solutions.
