What you will do:

Provides support to other departments on tax related issues, analyze and comply with government tax requirements.

Provides support on financial analyses and accurate reporting, analyze financial results, monitor variances, identify trends and explain significant or unusual fluctuations.

How you will Impact:

Perform monthly sales tax audit, prepare and file VAT and other provinces returns;

\xc2\xb7 Assist the external accountants in preparation of Federal and Provincial income and capital tax returns for the Company.

\xc2\xb7 Ensure that tax instalments are made on a timely basis and correctly calculated as well as adjusted to consider revised forecasts and audit adjustments to minimize non-deductible interest.

\xc2\xb7 Provide research based support to other departments on sales tax related inquires;

\xc2\xb7 Tax accounting for quarterly income tax provisions including tax estimates for both planning and reporting purposes.

\xc2\xb7 Provide analysis and support for tax planning and reporting as required.

\xc2\xb7 Assist in internal and external audits.

\xc2\xb7 Ensure compliance with internal control policies on tax related matters.

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of transfer pricing, withhold taxes, deferred taxes and other related tax matters.

\xc2\xb7 Providing recommendations on continuous improvement for any existing processes.

\xc2\xb7 Reconcile and analyze assigned balance sheet and explain variances (trend and correlation)

\xc2\xb7 Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.

\xc2\xb7 Provide timely, relevant and accurate reporting and analyze financial results, monitor variances, identify trends and explain significant or unusual fluctuations.

\xc2\xb7 Prepare and analyze weekly, monthly, quarterly, half year and full year reporting to ensure proper accounting procedures have been followed.

\xc2\xb7 Identify and track KPIs on financial operations, provide variance analysis compared with budget, forecast and historical trend.

\xc2\xb7 Assist managers in the preparation and maintenance of financial forecasts as well as annual budgets.

\xc2\xb7 Carry out all duties in accordance with company\'s internal policies and procedures.

\xc2\xb7 Ad hoc financial analysis

\xc2\xb7 Perform other duties as assigned

What you will Bring:

Bachelor\'s degree in finance, accounting or business; a combination of other education and experience will be considered

\xc2\xb7 Recognized accounting designation or in process of certification.

\xc2\xb7 3 years or more accounting experience in an accounting firm or industry.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and individually.

\xc2\xb7 Effective and efficient communication skills.

\xc2\xb7 Strong Excel Skills
