Why this role is important?

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare & review financial reports for franchise stores
• Prepare financial statement for franchise owners after wind-up process
• Review Financial Statements for banner segment (including Franchisee & Franchisor) Active involvement with period end close activities including JE preparations, reconciliations & in-depth analysis.
• Take a lead role in ensuring that department objectives and initiatives are completed.
• Preparing and reviewing reconciliations and providing recommendations
• Preparing and reviewing journal entries and providing recommendations
• Process all accounting transactions for store opening, closure, and wind-up
• Continuously monitor, recommend, and implement process improvement initiatives to increases effectiveness and productivity of department
• Convert and maintain journal entries during the SAP transition
• Training Franchise stores
• Written and verbal communication with the franchise stores
• Dealing with external accountants, government audits and surveys

The candidates must possess the following skills:

• A minimum of 6 years of previous applicable industry experience, or a combination of education and experience
• Currently enrolled in an accounting designation program would be considered an asset
• Strong English and communication both oral and written
• Ability to converse comfortably with business partners
• Intermediate experience with spreadsheet applications, word documents and email (office suite)
• Ability to implement required process improvement or transitioning new work.
• Professional attitude (business attire, communication with colleagues, positive attitude) professional demeanor

• Strong organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail and commitment to excellence
• Demonstrated ability to work independently or part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to meet required deadlines/targets

• Examiner les \xc3\xa9tats financiers pour le segment des banni\xc3\xa8res (y compris les magasins franchis\xc3\xa9s et les franchiseurs) Participer de fa\xc3\xa7on active aux activit\xc3\xa9s de cl\xc3\xb4ture de fin de p\xc3\xa9riode, y compris les pr\xc3\xa9parations, les conciliations et les analyses en profondeur des \xc3\xa9critures de journal.
• Jouer un r\xc3\xb4le de responsable en veillant \xc3\xa0 ce que les objectifs et les initiatives du d\xc3\xa9partement soient atteints.
• Pr\xc3\xa9parer et examiner les conciliations et fournir des recommandations.

• Surveiller, recommander et mettre en \xc5\x93uvre continuellement des initiatives d\xe2\x80\x99am\xc3\xa9lioration aux processus afin d\xe2\x80\x99accro\xc3\xaetre l\xe2\x80\x99efficacit\xc3\xa9 et la productivit\xc3\xa9 du d\xc3\xa9partement.
• Convertir et tenir \xc3\xa0 jour les \xc3\xa9critures de journal durant la transition SAP.
• Fournir de la formation aux magasins franchis\xc3\xa9s.
• Communication \xc3\xa9crite et verbale avec les magasins franchis\xc3\xa9s.
• Se charger des comptables externes, des v\xc3\xa9rifications gouvernementales et des sondages.

Les candidats doivent poss\xc3\xa9der les comp\xc3\xa9tences suivantes :

• Au moins 6 ans d\xe2\x80\x99exp\xc3\xa9rience ant\xc3\xa9rieure pertinente dans l\xe2\x80\x99industrie, ou \xc3\xa9ventuellement une combinaison d\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa9tudes et d\xe2\x80\x99exp\xc3\xa9rience;
• Actuellement inscrit(e) \xc3\xa0 un programme de titres comptables, un atout.
• Excellentes aptitudes en communication orale et \xc3\xa9crite en fran\xc3\xa7ais et en anglais.
• Capacit\xc3\xa9 \xc3\xa0 converser ais\xc3\xa9ment avec les partenaires d\xe2\x80\x99affaires.
• Exp\xc3\xa9rience interm\xc3\xa9diaire des applications de tableur, des documents Word et de courriel (suite Office).
• Capacit\xc3\xa9 \xc3\xa0 mettre en \xc5\x93uvre l\xe2\x80\x99am\xc3\xa9lioration requise des processus ou \xc3\xa0 transf\xc3\xa9rer de nouveaux travaux.
• Attitude professionnelle (tenue d\xe2\x80\x99affaires, communication avec les coll\xc3\xa8gues, attitude positive)

• Solides comp\xc3\xa9tences en organisation et en gestion du temps, souci du d\xc3\xa9tail et engagement envers l\xe2\x80\x99excellence.
