Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting and Projects

The Senior Financial Analyst, Finance Reporting & Projects is part of the Corporate Finance team overseeing the Company\xe2\x80\x99s Financial Reporting, Quarter End and Month End Cycles. The Senior Financial Analyst will work closely with the Director of Financial Reporting & Projects & Manager of Financial Reporting. The Senior Financial Analyst will play an integral role in the ERP Implementation and will actively support the processes, procedures and systems that are required to ensure financial reporting is accurate and complete for both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Period \xe2\x80\x93 end P&L close activities and preparation of business -level financial statements under ASPE
  • Prepares supporting working papers, including the documentation of procedures, that meet internal control and external audit requirements
  • Preparation of monthly reconciliation of key accounts
  • Retain ownership of consolidation
  • Takes ownership of the corporate accounting process, including proposing and preparing supporting journal entries and maintaining monthly schedules and monthly close
  • Ensures system generated reports are updated when new accounts are created or new business units are added
  • Business partnering with assigned groups to provide insights and financial analysis
  • Preparation of recurring management reporting packages and supporting commentary
  • Ensure Compliance with accounting policies, internal controls and regulatory reporting
  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting in line with accounting standards and other reporting requirements, liaise with external reporting team
  • Take initiative and retain ownership to improve process effectiveness and efficiency by partnering with key stakeholders within the business
  • Participate in special projects within broader operations and finance teams as required

Here\xe2\x80\x99s what you\xe2\x80\x99ll need to be successful
  • CPA designation
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in a large public accounting firm
  • Minimum 1\xe2\x80\x932 years of public accounting experience in industry
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting practices, financial reporting, accounting standards, policies and systems
  • Exceptional planning and prioritizing skills
  • Required to have demonstrated research, analytical and project management skills
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to leverage resources (people, process, departments, tools) to complete objectives effectively and efficiently
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written including the ability to influence change
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent computer skills, especially with Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Word
  • NetSuite or similar ERP Experience (Preferred)
