What You'll Be Doing:

You will be a welcomed member of the Sienna Finance Team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Tax & Treasury. As Senior Financial Analyst, Tax & Treasury, you will be proactive and in partnership with another team member, prepare the Company's accurate and timely tax related filings including the completion of all federal and provincial income tax returns, and all related analysis and support.

How You'll Succeed:

Tax
  • Preparation of accounting for income taxes, deferred tax accounting and support the accurate preparation of tax accounts for financial statement purposes under IFRS
  • Preparation of the Company's tax related financial statement disclosures and Audit Committee Reports
  • Preparation of annual budget and forecasting of cash taxes
  • Calculate timely payment of instalments and final taxes
  • Support tax audits from external auditors, and various domestic tax authorities
  • Assist with acquisitions and other transactions in developing the structure and tax implications
  • Actively identify opportunities to improve processes for compliance
Treasury
  • In partnership with another team member ensure cash flow forecasts are accurate and proactively monitor and plant to ensure adequate cash is available for operations
  • Support the Finance team and business units with respect to bank queries
  • Participate in ad hoc projects assigned including supporting the finance team with GL queries and updates
Property Tax
  • Assist finance team with compliance and reporting
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting of property taxes
  • Support company-wide planning, process improvements and business initiatives
Other
  • Participate in ad-hoc duties as assigned
Who You Are:
  • You have a CPA,CA, CPA,CGA or CPA,CMA designation
  • Progressive Canadian Tax Experience is strongly preferred
  • You have strong technical knowledge of Canadian tax legislation
  • You have excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • You are able to handle multiple assignments and work effectively under pressure
  • You are hard working, detail oriented, organized and self-motivated to learn
