Reporting to the Head of Financial Accounting, the Project Controller - Information Technologies is responsible for supporting major IT projects (SAP implementation project, cybersecurity project, other ad hoc projects). This role oversees all accounting and financial activities related to these projects. From a global perspective, the controller has a comprehensive understanding of costs, budgets and estimates, as well as the risks and opportunities associated with the projects. They also ensure financial controls for these projects. This role is also responsible for producing monthly financial reports for these projects and presenting these reports to senior management.

Salary range 005: 82 600$ to 103 200$ (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position.)
What this role involves:
Participate in the development of IT project budgets and the financial forecasting process;
Record project-related accounting entries (salaries, licenses, reclassifications, etc.) for Agropur Cooperative & Agropur Inc. entities;
Re-invoice project expenses to the American entity Agropur Inc. if necessary;
Support the Head of Asset Accounting & Projects by providing cost analyses for commissioning and depreciation assumptions;
Ensure a comprehensive understanding of project costs, including capitalizable versus non-capitalizable expenses;
Assist the project manager in monitoring, controlling, and administering project progress and performance, as well as other aspects of project management (scope, time, cost, quality, and risk);
Analyze and identify variances between estimated and actual time and costs spent on a given project;
Identify trends and root causes of variances from objectives and recommend corrective actions;
Coordinate and identify improvements to financial and control processes with various project stakeholders;
Appropriately monitor the project schedule and budget to proactively implement actions/corrective measures as needed;
Responsible for publishing, with the support of the project manager, the required progress report and dashboard for internal and external stakeholders, including the dashboard for presentation to project directors and the VP of IT;
Responsible for tracking the progress of invoicing and payment schedules for projects;
Prepare and present monthly financial reports including current, committed, and latest estimated project costs to senior management (CAPEX and OPEX), and identify future risks and opportunities to support decision-making
What you need to join our team:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (accounting option);
5 years of experience in financial or analytical accounting;
CPA designation or in progress;
Expertise in ERP systems; SAP S/4 & Fiori;
Advanced knowledge of the Office suite (Excel, Teams, etc.) required;
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills required;
Strong analytical, statistical, and organizational skills required;
Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously and work successfully under pressure required;
Experience preparing "detailed" reports and "executive-level" reports;
Strong financial information acumen required;
Oral and written bilingualism (English and French) - Frequent communications with partners, clients, and/or employees outside Quebec.
