About the Opportunity
The Public Sector client is seeking an experienced Senior Desktop Publishing/Graphics Specialist to support the Directorate of Health Services Strategic Concepts. This role is central to the development and design of the next Campaign Plan and supporting communications strategy products, ensuring alignment with federal publication standards and accessibility requirements
Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Develop a publishable version of the next Campaign Plan in both official languages for print and digital publication (PDF and Canada.ca)
  • Create and format related communications products such as retractable banners, posters, charts, and assorted materials
  • Meet with the Directorate team for an orientation session and provide weekly updates during business hours (15 hours/week)
  • Prepare page layouts and position text, photographs, and illustrations in accordance with Government of Canada publication standards
  • Recommend layout and presentation options to maximize the impact of the Campaign Plan and related products
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
  • Post-secondary education in graphic design, desktop publishing, or a related discipline (or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience within the past 5 years working with federal government publication standards
  • Minimum 3 years of experience within the past 5 years producing graphic design work for the Government of Canada
  • Demonstrated ability to format, graphically design, and edit bilingual strategic documents and communications materials
  • English Essential (Advanced oral, comprehension, and written)
  • Valid security clearance at the minimum level of Reliability Status required
About the Job
  • Duration: October 15, 2025 - March 31, 2026 (24 weeks, approx. 15 hours per week)
  • Location: West end location (with flexibility to work off-site)
  • Work Environment: Primarily virtual/off-site, with occasional on-site meetings
