  • Finance Operations - a centralized team performing a range of services such as general accounting, reporting, andtransaction processing on behalf of Finance and the Enterprise
  • Business Partner - perform analytics and provideadvice to the business to support strategy and decision-making
  • Specialized Functions - providing domain orknowledge-based expertise to the Enterprise
About Finance Operations

The Finance Operations (FinOps) centre, located in GreaterMoncton, New Brunswick, is an integral part of the Finance organization,delivering efficient finance services with a commitment to operationalexcellence. We will be building and developing a diverse team of enthusiasticand dedicated professionals who want to make a difference with TD. Our goal isto attract a broad talent pool of experienced finance operations personnel andpost-secondary graduates, which reflect the diversity of TD and its customers.The centre resides in TD's new Corporate Office located at Cadillac Fairview'sCF Champlain shopping centre in Dieppe.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will possess a unique blend of customer service and technical skills. This position requires:
  • Strong MS Office skills including Excel
  • Good analytical skills in assessing risk, issues and challenging the status quo
  • Self-motivated, with initiative to investigate and resolve issues and ability to work in a demanding environment and handle deadlines and priorities
  • Good communicator who engages colleagues, business partners and external stakeholders

Reporting to the Master Data Management (MDM) Team Lead, the resource will be responsible for a range of day-to-day operational activities for FinOps. This position requires technical knowledge, critical and problem-solving skills, troubleshooting skills with an ability to work independently with limited supervision. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong time management skills, organization skills, be self-motivated, result driven and be able manage complex business demands. The candidate should also have solid communication skills and customer service mindset with the ability to liaise with technology, business, Finance, and project partners.

Specific responsibilities may include:
  • Manages and executes complex Master Data Management (MDM) maintenance tasks & incidents
  • Executes on more complex and/or non-standard requests
  • Prioritize and manage own workload to ensure incidents are properly managed on top of the daily and adhoc maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure activities are complete and accurate to meet SLA requirements for service and productivity
  • Resolve incidents and escalated matters and refer complex issues/situations beyond own level of expertise
  • Supports the technical development of the team + knowledge managed by MDM team and may act as primary delegate of the MDM Team lead
  • Identify operational issues, recommend, and implement opportunities to automate, streamline and further enhance various team processes.
  • Provide support during implementation and testing of new processes changes and/or technology that address production gaps
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with internal partners for the purposes of delivering optimal customer service
  • Keep the team and customers informed and up-to-date about the status / progress of projects and / or all relevant or useful information related to day-to-day activities
  • May operate as working lead on internal improvement initiatives where capacity allows, typically with a short term focus
  • High level of complexity in operational / reporting / process and/or analysis function requiring medium to longer term focus
  • May lead a small reporting or operational team or provide work direction to others as a specialist for a specific area
  • Represents the group as the lead or subject matter expert on projects / initiatives and/or at meetings
