Looking for a Senior Continuous Improvement Analyst, Finance to join our Strategy and Continuous Improvement Team. You will be responsible for identifying and executing opportunities for the FSS Organization, to drive efficiencies and reduce complexity and risk in Finance operations. The Team will also be responsible for supporting and improving the finance and accounting operations globally so that the organization stays at the forefront of technology and innovation and remains relentlessly relevant in journey to world class.
How you will add value:


  • Support the development of the 3-5 year strategic and continuous improvement vision for Finance
  • Requirement Gathering: Conduct requirements analysis with business stakeholders, and communicate technical requirements to the development team; Understand requirements and propose further technical solutions beyond what the business owner may initially conceptualize; Lead data discovery to ensure project viability; Operate between D&A leadership, business sponsors, and technical developers
  • End-to-End BI Development: Lead the end-to-end development of BI reports, including data modelling, dashboard development, feedback iteration, and full automation; Develop BI reports directly, with independence; Lead interaction with data owners, business sponsors, and in many cases key users; Resolve any roadblocks and issues that could impact timelines; Ensure quality assurance through user testing and feedback iteration
  • Systems Design: Work directly with the Global Data Platforms team to support architecture design that effectively interfaces with BI systems and applications
  • BI Systems Adoption: Support BI adoption efforts through leadership, best practice sharing, and individual consultation across the business
  • Learning and Development: Remain current with the latest BI tools, and all related analytics systems that can further McCain’s analytical agenda
  • Be a source of actionable insight to continuously improve the finance organization
  • Promote continuous improvement culture and aid in the development of a continuous improvement framework
  • Support the development and maintenance of FSS continuous improvement processes (e.g. opportunity intake, evaluation & prioritization, communication of value realization, rewards & recognition), CI prioritization criteria, and CI tools & templates
  • Provide transactional level insight, experience in developing user friendly initiatives, and champion change within finance
  • Support testing, reviews, process documentation in conjunction with the FSS team in developing globally efficient processes
  • Handle Special Projects as assigned, including working on tool implementations and liaising with regional/global resources for optimal outcomes
  • Work with FSS leadership and other key stakeholders to identify potential improvement opportunities, organization, process and infrastructure for the FSS Organization
  • Identify and leverage internal and external data sources to identify continuous improvement opportunities (e.g. FSS Governance meetings & forums, output from service management tools, periodic external benchmarking)

About You:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent field
  • Experience with project implementations, Finance process subject matter expertise, identification / rationalization of improvement opportunities
  • Experience with financial processes and measurements (e.g., understands common metrics for measuring the efficiencies and service of financial processes)
  • Deep understanding and expertise in multiple functional work streams: General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Controlling, Project Systems, Asset Accounting, Intercompany Transactions, Profitability Analysis, Consolidation and FP&A
  • 3+ years of experience working in data-driven environments
  • Digital Skills: Requirement: Competence in Power BI report development, or a proven deep proficiency in similar tools
    Nice to have: Understanding of SQL or any other programming languages such as Python, R, or SAS
  • Data Literacy and Communication: Understanding of how data systems are designed and ability to work with data engineers; Ability to connect data to business insights for non-technical audiences; Ability to translate non-technical business requirements into technical / BI solutions
  • Change Management: Comfortable working with business stakeholders across a range of experience with data and analytics; Able to establish a case for change and “sell” an idea; Able to explain data concepts in a way that is approachable and compelling
  • Excellent communication skills: is able to effectively and persuasively articulate positions both verbally and in electronic mediums to various audiences including senior executives
  • Sound fact-based decision making; responsive and problem solving ability with a focus on delivering results
  • Courage to have difficult discussions with groups from all level of the organization
  • Collaborates in a cross functional team environment
  • Demonstrated skill in change and stakeholder management
  • Supports program direction by completing assigned work and responding to program needs
  • Resilient after business set-backs, and demonstrates persistence in tough circumstances
