Senior Finance Manager

Job Description

Kelly is recruiting a Senior Finance Manager for a permanent opportunity for our client, located in Richmond Hill.

Responsibilities:

  • Full cycle accounting for 2 companies
  • Entry of all financial transactions, posting, journal entries and adjustments
  • Invoicing, receivables and collections
  • Expense reporting
  • Coordinate with Ceridian for all payroll activities
  • Prepare monthly reports for Benefit plan with Insured provider
  • Accounts payable, payment and cheque preparation
  • Monitor and pay wire payments on a timely basis
  • Prepare weekly cash balances report and assist with cash forecasts and cash management
  • Daily cash receipts and bank deposits
  • Bank and Credit Card Reconciliation
  • Prepare monthly financial statements
  • Prepare HST/WSIB statements and file returns
  • Correspond with the bank and manage a variety of banking issues such as administering foreign exchange transactions etc.
  • Communicating with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years of full cycle accounting
  • Leadership experience - develop and lead a team
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Expert with Quickbooks and MS Office Excel
  • Understanding of GAAP
  • Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be detail oriented with aptitude for documentation
  • Creative, self-disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to take ownership of work, find solutions to issues and ensure timely completion of duties
  • The candidate must be able to use tact, discretion and maintain confidentiality
