Senior Finance Manager, Customer Finance

Summary

The Senior Finance Manager, Customer Finance acts as a key business partner for multiple Customer Business Teams (CBT). They proactively drive business discussions within CBTs. Together with the Customer VPs defines customer strategy, manages financial performance, drives Trade efficiency optimization, Trade ROI and defines risks and opportunities. Drives financial agenda and processes including budgeting, forecasting, business performance review, financial controls, risk management and efficiency of Trade spend.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key business partner for the field sales teams on accounting and finance related questions
  • Manage a team of 2-3 team members.
  • Serve as a primary liaison between field sales, Business Units, and Revenue Management to ensure effective communication and execution of trade strategies
  • Utilize analytical frameworks and ROI analysis to identify opportunities to optimize pricing/promotion
  • Support the annual planning process through validation of YOY drivers of demand, trade budgeting, and assist the development of initiatives to achieve targets
  • Develop and maintain financial controls to ensure visibility to and accuracy of the monthly trade spend forecast
  • Provide customer specific external analysis to identify pricing opportunities or risks such as value to market and competitor price gaps
  • Maintain process to periodically assess SKU level P&Ls to ensure ongoing profitability of SKUs
Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Finance/Accounting, or Economics
  • 6+ years of experience with proven track record of delivering results in sales, finance, analytics
  • Sales and/or trade promotion experience strongly preferred
  • Solid analytical skills and ability to quickly learn analytical modeling tools and techniques
  • Disciplined approach toward execution, attention to detail, and ability to navigate within large and complex data environments
  • Ability to effectively summarize complex information upwards and influence sales leadership to drive appropriate action
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including reporting and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional partners
