Position: Senior Finance Business Partner - Manufacturing Operations

We're looking for a strategic and hands-on Senior Finance Business Partner - Manufacturing Operations for a great client located in Mississauga. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to operations leadership, providing strategic financial insights, improving reporting tools, and enhancing decision-making across the business. Responsibilities:
- Lead financial planning cycles including the development of annual budgets for manufacturing and procurement teams, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Maintain rolling financial forecasts, highlighting emerging risks, cost pressures, and potential growth opportunities.
- Perform detailed variance analysis to monitor performance and explain deviations from budget or forecast.
- Deliver on-demand financial analysis, reports, and insights to help leadership make informed business decisions.
- Interpret operational and financial data to uncover performance trends and suggest actionable improvements.
- Partner closely with operations and procurement leaders to understand their business challenges and provide financial guidance to support their objectives.
- Foster strong internal relationships and act as a financial partner in performance tracking, budget adherence, and target achievement.
- Evaluate cost-reduction opportunities and investment initiatives through advanced financial modeling and scenario planning.
- Present financial results and insights in a clear, compelling manner to both financial and non-financial stakeholders and leadership team.
- Define and monitor key operational and financial KPIs to measure efficiency and profitability.
- Oversee and optimize business intelligence tools and dashboards to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Identify and implement process improvements that simplify workflows and strengthen financial controls.
- Drive FP&A process maturity by introducing best-in-class tools, methodologies, and frameworks.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline. An MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, including at least 2 years in a team leadership or management capacity.
- Professional designations such as CPA or CFA are preferred.
- Proven ability to translate complex financial data into meaningful insights and strategic guidance.
- Strong knowledge of forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, with confidence in presenting to senior leaders and non-financial partners.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with FP&A software and tools (e.g., Power BI, planning tools).
- Experience working in manufacturing environment, including exposure to supporting multiple sites.
- Exposure to Price-Volume-Mix (PVM) Analysis is highly desirable.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence across functions.
- Adaptability and resilience in fast-paced environments with multiple competing priorities.
- A collaborative mindset, ready to work cross-functionally to improve performance and profitability.
