A Day in the Life of A Senior Auditor:
  • In conjunction with the Manager and Partner complete audit, review and NTR engagements within complex organizational structures;
  • Ensure that all engagement activities are completed in accordance with the Firm\xe2\x80\x99s policies and procedures and that all queries and issues are satisfactorily resolved;
  • Prepare complete working paper file sections (i.e., a complete section includes: analytical review; evaluation of evidence and conclusion therein), small working paper files, financial statements and notes, corporate, trust and personal tax returns;
  • Lead field engagement teams, including coaching and mentoring junior team members;
  • Use knowledge to identify issues and opportunities; suggest alternatives and implement plans; prepare recommendations to management where appropriate;
  • Communicate with Managers, Partners and clients on progress and delivery timelines; prepare engagement budgets and monitor efficiencies;
Qualifications:
  • Relevant experience in an audit/accounting firm;
  • Experience with Audit, Review and Notice to Reader engagements in a variety of Industries;
  • Knowledgeable of accounting and assurance standards applicable to private enterprises, and the professional code of conduct applicable to CPA\xe2\x80\x99s in Ontario;
  • Possess exceptional technical skills and a fine attention to detail;
  • Computer proficient; knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel and a working knowledge and experience in a variety of software applications including Caseware and Tax Prep;
  • Ability to communicate effectively , verbally and in writing, with Partners, Clients, other team member, and other stakeholders;
  • Have proven problem solving capabilities including ingenuity, analytical skills and creativity;
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to organize, prepare and clearly present information to our clients and team;
  • A self-starter attitude with well-developed time management skills and the commitment to meeting deadlines;
  • A commitment to providing exceptional client service;
  • Available to travel to client sites when needed.
