Our team has an immediate12-month contract opening for a Senior Engineer - Cloud Native Application Platform & Microservices.

:

• Design and implement next generation of PaaS Serverless Application Platform. Explore leading technologies such WASM-based application runtime & ML-based proactive Autoscaling Algorithm
• Design and implement next generation of Microservice Governance/Resilience solutions
• Follow up with new Application Hosting Platform & Microservice technical trend and have a deep insight about the evolution direction
• Define next generation of Application hosting platform and Microservices to help enterprise customers succeed by leveraging deep insight into the business value provided the most innovative application model and frameworks.
• Analyzes technology and architectural choices and presents to engineering and product management for review.
• Propose and implement quick prototypes to validate technology or architectural choices, with interactions with customers or prospects as needed. Strong hands-on ability is a must.
• Write and communicate guidelines for common components and frameworks to product architect and other senior managers.

• 2+ years software development experience with at least one of the following programming language: Go, C++, Java
• 1+ years design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Development Experience with K8s, Service Mesh(e.g. Istio. Envoy, Dapr) & Microservice
• Have strong self-research capability, passionately and self-driving in learning new technology/product quickly.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with both internal and external people
• Familiar with Service Auto Scaling concept and related technologies (e.g. K8s HPA, K8s CA, Knative) is an asset
• Experience with Service or database Performance Tuning is an asset
• Familiar with mainstream Serverless Cloud products: AWS App Runner, AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Run, Azure Container Apps is an asset
• Contributor/Committer to open-source communities is an asset
• RUST development experience is an asset
• Master and above degree or extensive research background is an asset
