This is an exciting role for an individual to join the Privacy team and operate across the service lines within the Privacy Practice delivering consultancy services primarily into Calligo clients.

You\'ll be working with clients in a variety of industries with a global footprint where you will lead and support client engagements ranging from personal data breach assessments and investigations, DPIA\'s, assisting with data mapping initiatives, and advising on third party due diligence practices, reviewing Data Processing Agreements and other contractual documents.

The role would be well suited to an individual who is experienced with Data Privacy Regulations, standard frameworks, operational models and who has an understanding of established good practice in areas such as SaaS, IaaS and information security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analysing client businesss and processes to identify compliance gaps and recommending areas of improvement
  • Presenting gap reports and audit reports to senior staff within the client
  • Designing and managing projects to improve a client\'s privacy maturity and working with the client to deliver the improvements
  • Advising on records of processing activities including the initial analysis, documentation and refinement of client processing activities
  • Reviewing privacy related policies, procedures, and training materials, and promoting a culture of data protection compliance within clients
  • Advising clients in relation to privacy compliance questions, risks and issues
  • Communicating with stakeholders and effectively managing their expectations in relation to the privacy service
  • Managing client meetings including arranging and setting the agenda for weekly meetings and following up on actions from previous meetings
  • Responding promptly and accurately to requests from clients and providing competent, intelligible advice on data protection matter
  • Interpret complex legal requirements so that a client understands how they apply in practice and the actions required to comply with them
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • 3-5 years experience in providing data protection compliance advice
  • Recognised qualifications in data protection such as CIPP/US, CIPP/E or CIPP/M
  • Solid understanding of the GDPR and the CCPA and how they apply in practice
  • Experience with data incident response, information security, privacy, and compliance
  • Ability to understand complex business issues and present them in a straightforward way
  • Agile and flexible, capable of dealing with ambiguity, and confront challenges and opportunities with speed, endurance and decisiveness
  • Strong prioritisation and workload management abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Commercially astute with an ability to innovate and contribute to the development of services within Calligo
