The position of Privacy Consultant is designed to act as a bridge between privacy, technology and risk management. The Consultant should have a general understanding of IT systems, cloud based operations, security principles and an ability to identify risks and appropriate risk treatments.

The Privacy Consultant will be a strong communicator, both individually, in the communication of risk; and, to a group, sharing the importance of and value to the business of Privacy.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide data protection and privacy program subject matter expertise to key stakeholders within Euronet. They will work closely with the various lines of business to help deliver practical plans and advice that will limit privacy risk and help to fulfil business objectives;
  • Assess new and existing IT systems to identify risks from the specific technical configurations and data processing activities;
  • Map existing systems and data flows;
  • Provide support to the legal colleagues on the internal privacy team in understanding technical concepts and systems operations;
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the principles of Privacy by Design;
  • Work with IT and security teams to provide the privacy angle to the development and implementation of relevant systems and tools;
  • Conduct, support and evaluate Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) activities, especially in the areas of: developing new products/services; updating existing products/services, selecting third-party service providers and implementing new internal processes;
  • Support the efficient operation and continuous improvement of the corporate breach reporting, data retention, data subject rights reporting, record of processing and PIA processes;
  • Assist in the communication of the corporate privacy program to the business. Candidates are expected to demonstrate effective presentation and influencing skills;
  • Manage a diverse workload and multiple projects at the same time. Candidates will also demonstrate the ability to keep track of multiple and varying regulatory.
Requirements
  • Have formal privacy training and certification e.g. an IAPP-issued certification;
  • Have at least 2 years of operational privacy experience \xe2\x80\x93 especially in the preparation of Privacy Impact Assessments;
  • Experience in understanding the security, configuration and data flows between IT systems processing personal data
  • Be committed to a personal program of continuous privacy and professional education;
  • Have experience with and/or knowledge of various information security standards, tools and systems;
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills supported by well-developed analytical skills;
  • Be fluent in English; other languages are desirable;
  • Be highly organized and independent; capable of managing a wide-range of diverse projects with minimal supervision;
  • Have a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or higher.
