Responsibilities
Develop a Provincial Data Governance Framework for secure data sharing across Health Authorities and Ministries.
Define roles, responsibilities, and processes to ensure data governance standards.
Create an Implementation Plan for framework integration within existing structures.
Incorporate stakeholder feedback to finalize the framework.
Prepare and present a PowerPoint to key stakeholders.
Design a training program to educate employees on data governance principles.
Ensure compliance with Canadian data protection laws (e.g., FOIPPA, e-Health Act).
Manage relationships and communication with public sector stakeholders.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in business, Information Management, or a related field.
Master's degree is a plus.
Change Management and Project Management certifications (e.g., Prosci, PMP) preferred.
Certification in Data Governance is an asset.
7+ years in data governance or information management within the public sector.
Experience with developing frameworks and working with senior executives.
Knowledge of data management systems and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Familiarity with Canadian data protection laws (e.g., FOIPPA, e-Health Act).
Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
Employment DetailsSalary: $150.00 - $160.00 per hour
Benefits: 35 hours per week, flexible (remote or onsite), full-time contract position
Schedule: 9:00 AM PST to 5:00 PM PST, Monday through Friday
Other: 3-month initial term, with the potential for extension
