Position: Senior Data Engineer
Location: Montreal
Salary: $98K to $110K per year

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with Azure Stack experience. Our client is a leading organization in their industry and is looking for someone with strong technical expertise in Azure Stack to help drive their data initiatives.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Participate in the conception, development, deployment and optimization of data pipelines, Data Lake, Datawarehouse for varied BI use cases (reporting, dashboards, predictive and prescriptive analysis, machine learning, automated processing)
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and Data Architects
- Contribute to brainstorming discussions and solution definition related to information architecture and design, data collection, data analysis methodology, data integration
- Prototype modern technologies and new reports for business units
- Perform problem-solving and testing of hypotheses and complex analysis of data
- Perform data modelling for proper analysis and insight
- Document, and implement the best practices
- Write and maintain unit tests, integration tests and performance tests
- Provide support and guidance to colleagues, mentor junior colleagues
- Analyze, identify, diagnose, document, and assist to resolve BI and Data platform issues
- Deploy and merge solutions using Azure DevOps
Qualification and skills:
- Required working knowledge: the Azure stack: ADLS Gen 2, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps
- 7+ Years of experience in data Engineering
- Knowledge in one of the following topics is an asset: Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), specifically BI Publisher
- SharePoint Business Data Connectivity (BDC), to create and maintain lists
- Automated testing
- Azure ML/AI
- DP203 Microsoft Certification
- Required working knowledge of the Azure stack: ADLS Gen 2, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, passion for problem-solving
- Ability to keep informed about the latest technologies and data and analytics trends
- Organized, autonomous and manage your time effectively
- Experience in any of the following areas is a plus: Agile methodology, Transportation industry
- Knowledge of Azure Big Data environment
