IT/IQ Tech Recruiters is seeking a Sr. Data Analyst to join our client in Toronto, ON.

Responsibilities
  • Provides technical expertise using data analysis techniques in support of data driven decision- making.
  • Develops analytical models including data modelling aspects.
  • Connects a variety of business data and analyzes data to gain additional insights.
  • Ensures data quality and performs data cleansing.
  • Produces data visualization on a range of different data sources, including structured, unstructured, real-time and geospatial.
  • Develops data visualization dashboards using automated processes for data loading and reporting and monitoring data quality.
  • Provides support on creation and maintenance of data dictionaries and metadata.
  • Participates in business requirement workshops and supports the documentation of business requirements.
  • Provides data visualizations and communicates analysis results to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develops data/statistical reports based on business requirements.
Top Skills Required
  • Post-secondary education in the field of quantitative analysis (i.e. Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics)
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Experience writing queries in MS SQL, reporting and analysis services
  • Experience loading, formatting, cleaning, manipulating, and analyzing data with various tools such as but not limited to Python or R
  • Experience creating dynamic data visualizations and dashboards (e.g SAS, PowerBI)
  • Ability to develop and contribute to the implementation of data models from various source data formats (e.g. dBase, Lotus Notes, text, XML) using MS SQL database services
  • Ability to perform qualitative and quantitative analysis (i.e. descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, regression analysis, content analysis, etc.)
  • Ability to gather client business requirements
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to analyze structured and unstructured data
  • Problem solving, mathematical reasoning and critical thinking skills
  • Knowledge of location analysis using open source or commercial of the shelf (COTS) software applications (i.e. ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.)
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
