Altus Group is looking for a Senior Copywriter to join the Content Marketing team.
This is a brand new role on a growing team! Our Senior Copywriter will be responsible for writing and editing copy related to campaigns and content initiatives, including websites, blogs, email, webinars, newsletters, sell sheets, video scripts, landing pages, social, sponsored content, or other advertising channels. They'll also take the lead in managing our new and strategic news series, on a global basis.
Reporting to the Director of Content Marketing, the Senior Copywriter will partner closely with our Content Marketing Managers, in addition to a global set of SMEs, and our Field, External Communications, Digital, Website, Offer Marketing, Strategy and Research teams - to produce high quality, thought-provoking, and compelling copy and content.
The ideal candidate will have experience writing copy and content in commercial real estate, and the ability to work cross-functionally to support campaigns and business objectives. They'll understand what it takes to write great copy that converts, while also being able to support the thought leadership side of content marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing
Effectively manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders - whether SMEs, writers, leadership or clients
Management of a high-quality, CRE news series, and contributing current topic ideas
Promote a collaborative and cross-functional working environment with all relevant teams
Development and ongoing updates to a style guide
Writing
Plan, write and deliver high-quality, consistent and impactful copy and content in a timely manner
Leverage our Research team's current notes, articles, reports and presentations to support and add impact to copy and content
Do own online research, of trusted sources, to help support copy/content writing and building briefs
Align writing to Offer Marketing/Product Marketing messaging, and/or brand message
Interview appropriate SMEs and incorporate relevant commentary
Apply best practices to all writing assignments
Editing
Editing all copy and content, ensuring a consistent message and voice
Ensure copy is aligned to our approved Offer Marketing/Product Marketing messaging, and/or brand message
Review, edit, and management of externally written pieces
Final reviews of copy and content launching on the website
Success measures
Adherence to deadlines
Management of a proactive editorial calendar
Publication frequency per agreed-upon timelines
Share of voice
Experience Required:
4+ years of copywriting experience
2+ years of copywriting experience for CRE, construction and/or ESG
Experience writing for a variety of digital channels
Incredible writing and editing capabilities, with a critical eye for the details
Excellent time management, and experience working in a deadline-driven environment, while balancing multiple priorities
Experience managing internal and external stakeholders
Experience working as part of collaborative and cross-functional teams
Experience managing an ongoing and frequently published content series, with proactive development of an editorial calendar
Knowledgeable about best practices for writing, by relevant channel
Strong analytical and project management skills
Outstanding communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking
Fluent in English. Fluency in French would be an asset, but not required.
Experience with Asana, Figma and Microsoft 365
