POSITION OVERVIEW

Are you a creative, problem-solver with the ability to see the big picture? BDC is looking for a Senior Copywriter with an advertising agency background who will be responsible for BDC's tone of voice and for developping impactful messages. As part of the Brand and Creative Services team, we collaborate with multiple internal teams and external agencies to deliver top-notch brand and creative experiences.

THE CHALLENGES THAT AWAIT YOU

Actively participate in the development of all BDC tone of voice evolution strategies.

Act as a the brand voice keeper by promoting and ensuring its proper use.

Develop creative strategies for various initiatives/campaigns.

Initiate and actively participate in the creative process to produce quality creative

Work closely with our graphic designers on high level concepts and final executions.

Initiate and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external agencies to maintain an integrated approach to the creation and production of advertising materials.

Build a network of contacts and freelancers and maintain relationships with external suppliers (copywriters, editors, translators, and).

Proactively develop solutions make copy on brand across teams, projects and channels.

Write high quality copy from concept to execution within BDC brand tone and guidelines.

Write brand messaging across a range of internal and external touchpoints, including advertising, landing pages, social media, etc.

Master and contribute to BDC's editorial style guide and best practices to maintain consistent copy treatment.

Clarify complex topics in easy-to-understand language.

Understand current and future product offerings and formulate clear value propositions about them in order to promote them.

Review final deliverables to ensure that final content is in line with expectations.

Ensure advertising content is properly adapted or translated from English to French and vice versa;

Keep abreast of advertising, creative and writing best practices.

Actively participate in daily ceremonies and weekly team meetings.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field

Minimum of 10 years of experience in creation/writing in the marketing and communications field (in-house or agency)

Exceptional grammar, spelling and sentence structure skills.

Excellent ability to craft compelling narratives that drive engagement and action.

Attention to detail

Good time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines while taking responsibility for your work.

Excellent skills in presenting ideas and concepts

Strong listening skills and a willingness to learn and grow through feedback.

Experience in brand management and creative advertising;

Understanding of the creative process;

Knowledge of disciplines related to production processes (graphic design, web, print, social media, television, radio...);

Knowledge of web writing best practices (e.g., SEO) is an asset;

Knowledge of Agile methodology principles is an asset);

Excellent command of French and English (ability to create and write in both languages
