Reporting to the Manager, Project Risk, the Senior Coordinator, Project Risk is responsible for playing a vital role in supporting Teck Projects' risk management activities. This functional position will coordinate risk management activities across multiple projects as required; ensuring risks are accurately detailed, supervised and communicated to relevant stakeholders; and supporting the administration of Teck Projects' risk management system. The Senior Coordinator, Project Risk acts as a liaison between project teams and the risk management function to maintain consistent risk management practices.
The successful candidate will be a driven and resourceful team player who can successfully communicate and work across internal teams and functional areas. We require someone with the ability to multitask, stay organized and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. The position is based in Vancouver, BC and limited travel to project locations may be required.

Responsibilities:

Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
Develop and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with project teams, functional leads and other parties
Collect and compile feedback and information for monitoring, analysis, reporting, and improvement
Log data and maintain various database systems and lists
Assist with preparing and coordinating reports, presentations, workshops and functional training
Support the administration, maintenance and improvement of the Projects risk management system and tools
Assist with functional team administrative activities such as coordinating meetings, travel arrangements and department calendars
Maintain strict confidentiality on highly sensitive matters
Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in project management, business administration, engineering or a science field from an appropriately accredited institution
Minimum of five (5) years of proven experience in risk management or project coordination, with additional experience providing administrative support to technical or project personnel, specifically within the mining or heavy industry sectors.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proficiency in risk management and project management software
Proficient in SharePoint or other document management systems
Proficiency with MS Power Platform is an asset
Knowledge of the mining or construction industry would be considered highly valuable
Fluency in Spanish is an asset

Salary Range:
$83,000 - $103,000
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
