Our production environment contains state-of-the-art equipment, ranging from 5-axis machining and laser cutting to SMT board production - Pick and place, AOI and selective soldering, all located at our greenfield facility in Port Perry. Job Summary We are looking to hire a competent, physically strong and hardworking Senior Construction Worker\xe2\x80\x94 a lead role working on both residential and commercial buildings, roads, and other construction projects to help bring the plans of architects and engineers to life as complete, solid structures. Experience with equipment on relevant construction projects is essential. The successful candidate must also be able and willing to adapt to seasons\xe2\x80\x99 duties and changing weather conditions. What We Expect from You: Duties & Responsibilities

• Take charge of safely completing assigned building projects according to the safely and quality requirements of the construction department
• Ensure that all budgeted financial objectives are met
• Direct, manage, and support a team of construction workers to carry out general on-site duties
• Maintain open communication with other departments, and resolve any customer or contractor issues related to construction
• With the utmost attention to safety at all times, erect and break-up scaffolding, ramps, etc.
• Assist tradesmen and machine operators with assigned construction projects
• Prepare and apply construction materials to build structures or fill gaps (e.g., cement)
• Smooth and level new concrete or other material
• Place safety signs where needed
• Work 8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday (may require some overtime).

What You Bring to Adamson Systems: Skills & Experience

• A minimum of five (5) years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as an able and dependable, senior construction worker, with references
• A record of working well in collaboration with others; as well as overseeing adherence to, and enforcement of, safety rules and instructions
• Relevant experience with operating heavy equipment like trench rammers, drills, pneumatic hammers, etc.
• Knowledge and experience mixing and pouring construction material (concrete, sand, grout etc.)
• Basic knowledge of Engineering/Construction principles and methods
• Ability to demonstrate physical strength, endurance, and working well with your hands
• Excellent eye-hand coordination and balance
• Experience in a managerial role is an asset.
